Russian invasion of Ukraine

In fact the hybrid war that Russia has declared on the west is totally ignored.
Arson, assassination attempts, sabotage - all ignord. Astonishing really.
Amazing how many stupid cunts ignore all this when talking of appeasing Russia.

The cunts have been at it for years. They are not our friends and our dealings with them should be based on the fact they are constantly trying to fuck us over.

Twitter on a pro Russia push for me. “Russian troops escaping Ukraine attack drones, it’s like a video game”, “I love Russia”, “9-11 style terror attack by Ukraine drones “ etc etc

And allegedly these drones over UK / US bases. Talk of setting red lines now

They are certainly not our friends and at some point there will be a negotiated peace which we all know will likely be nowt but a lull to allow the **** to build up and have a go again. The problem will be military funding and support for Ukraine largely dries up once the shooting stops - on top of that we’ve got uncertainty regarding what the US does regarding NATO.

Western politics seems to lack strategic thought. We should be spending 5%+ on defence right now not thinking one day we’d like to get to 2.5% but we don’t know when. The only way to prevent war is to prepare for it when dealing with the likes of Putin.

Hard to disagree with any of that mate. As I’ve posted previously the increase in military spending should occur in conjunction with no easing and greater enforcement of any sanctions as well as (at the very least) not returning any of the frozen assets - both of which would simply be deployed by Russia to rearm and would therefore be absolutely insane. Anyone who is even considering either of those things needs sectioning.

The saving grace I suppose may be the severe levels of depletion of Russian military capability and hardware and a looming demographic crisis which will present discernibly less ongoing opportunities for recruitment. I also think any signs of Russian rearmament will severely reduce any possibility of Russians who have left the country to avoid the draft returning. Add into the mix a possible significant reduction in the price of oil brought about by Trump's stated oil extraction policy and you have an overall picture where Russia will not be able to arm itself anywhere near as readily as it did in the years that preceded the invasion - and without the insane qualities of Soviet era military stocks to call upon.

People need to wake up to the threat we are facing. All the signs are there. It’s absolutely clear for anyone to see.

Exactly, the UK should have taken a much harder line with Putin after the Novichok attacks on UK soil. That was a terrorist attack by a rogue state.

I've said it many times, the west should be getting China on side. The Wests trade with China is 35 times that of Chinas trade with Russia, " remind them who their real trading partners and friends" are. If used correctly we have should much more influence with China than Russia. Russia is economically tiny by comparison, it's GDP is roughly 60% of the UK. The only reason it has the world wide stance it has is that it is a nuclear power.
