Russian invasion of Ukraine

when I read the post the first thing that came to mind was Enemy at the Gates - not everyone had a rifle ffs - just charge and take a weapon off the dead if you don't have one - at least in WW1 we did arm our lads before they went over the top

Watch the German war film Stalingrad on youtube from 1993, brilliant film but harrowing.

The **** Putin is going for Kiev.

I hope the anti tank weapons sent to Kiev arrive before the attack.

Thankfully American and NATO satellite images and war planning will help the Ukranians.

Newly released satellite imagery shows a massive convoy of Russian armour descending on Kyiv.

Pictures taken on Monday, before noon in Ukraine, show Russian military units near Antonov airport, about 27km (17 miles) from the centre of the capital.

According to Maxar Technologies, the satellite-imaging company that released the photos, the convoy is nearly 17 miles long (27km) and "contains hundreds of armoured vehicles, tanks, towed artillery and logistics support vehicles".

Surely it needs a few rockets into the front and back of that

That just looks like one massive sitting duck to me.

I know fuck all about being in the military but if it were me I wouldn’t put those vehicles so close together.

The Ukrainians only have to hit the vehicles at the front and the back and the ones in the middle won’t be going anywhere, they will be picked off and blown to shit for fun.

In simple terms. What does that mean for the average Russian and how will it affect them ?

Huge price increases and wiping out of their savings mainly.

Think the question will be whether Putin can make them continue to believe it’s the west’s fault rather than his own. I don’t think he’s started the pr battle any better than he has the invasion tbh.
