RVP Agrees MCFC Move

Don't think Whinger has much say. For example...

Don't want him. Whats the point? He will probably have 1 good season with us at the expense of Guidetti and Dzeko. Cavani would be a much better striker for us. He's younger and has much more going for him. Forget RVP , I would be happy with either Lavezzi/Cavani and a midfielder. He's at his peak and would go downhill from now. We brought players such as Aguero,Mario,Silva,Kompany,JM and Hart who are all getting better and for the club, I think we should sign players who are yet to peak than RVP who, after 3 years, won't be worth more than £10 million.

Wenger was an innovator for much of his tenure at Arsenal but lately he is suffering from the Dalglish old-school approach that is just horribly out of date. It is admirable that Arsenal still get enough results to finish in the top 4, but how he handles these summer windows, he (or the board) are seriously handicapping themselves.

Did you forgot what Clichy said ?

Didn't know Clichy said anything

Clichy said at the time: “I really believe if you are a player who thinks only about money then you could end up at Manchester City.

“You have to think if you want to play for a big club and have your image or if you want to play for a good club and earn big money. When you ask someone to move for something like £300,000 a week it is just crazy.”

Fair Do's...you whipped my bails off there fella

do you think RVP will whisper down the lane to Oxlade-Chamberlain, "you're next, friend".

Thread title is a bit misleading. He hasn't agreed to move to MCFC at all. He's supposedly agreed a contract offer, but no transfer fee has been agreed between clubs. It's not a done deal. I'm not even sure if the contract thing would be legal, I doubt Arsenal have agreed to let him negotiate with us whilst he's refusing to negotiate with them.

Either way, still really do not see this happening. The only way it's happening is if at his age he's now happier to be better paid and potentially end his career with a winners medal whilst NOT being top man at the club, because rest assured there's no way we'll let Aguero or Balotelli play second fiddle to a near 30 year old, it would make no sense what so ever. He's got to be happy playing Dzeko's current role, no guaranteed starts. Which frankly for someone of his quality would be a waste, especially if the contract makes him the best paid player at the club. Not that that would even be a remotely sensible thing to do either.

He's having a fantastic season without a doubt, but he's also had plenty of seasons where he's given adequate reason NOT to put him on an insane contract. No-one likes paying players to sit on the doctors table. You would offer him Arsenals top ceiling limit + 20%, as long as that puts him under what we pay Aguero. There are two players you would bring to the club and make them higher paid than our highest earners. One is Ronaldo, the other is Messi.

Look at the time when that went to print and then compare it to the latest so called story.
