Balotelli has yet to score anywhere near as many goals as Chicarito. He will be a quality player but Chicarito has been much better for his team.
Balotelli

Club
Internazionale
Serie A (3): 2007–08, 2008–09, 2009–10
Coppa Italia (1): 2009–10
Supercoppa Italiana (1): 2008
UEFA Champions League (1): 2009–10

So how many european league titles has Hernandez won? CL? FA cups?

But Hernandez is only 22 and Balo is..............................

I love Mario, but Fernandez has scored 11 league goals in 10 starts (though also many subs). Mario never started over 15 league matches when he played for Inter. He started two matches when they won CL.

They are pretty different players though, I'd never trade Balotelli for Hernandez, Mario will be a world beater. But if someone asked me who I'd expect to perform better in the derby next week, I'd say Hernandez, because he always seem to poach one in these days.

On top of the above:

Balotelli: 18 Appearances - 10 Goals - Ratio: 0.56 Goals per game
Hernandez: 35 Appearances - 17 Goals - Ratio: 0.48 Goals per game

Both in their first season.

According to the sites I've checked, Balotelli scored 9 goals (2 in Europa, 1 in FA, 6 in league), which lowers his ratio to Hernandez level. But yeah, I'd say they're equal players and I'm sure Balotelli will be the better one in the future, if he can keep his head cool.

Minutes per goal would be fairer, 35 appearances but I doubt hes started alot of those games

young ballon d'or winner.

Balo 1
Hernandez 0

Anderson 1
Silva/Ronaldo/Iniesta 0

Makes sense to you?

Hernandez couldn't win it anyway since it only is given to European based players.

fucking mental isn't necessarily a bad thing :) Roy Keane was always short of a few marbles tbh
Very true. Balotelli is a flawed genius, with regards to his footballing ability.

My point was though, that Hernandez has gone out of his way to endear himself to every single United fan; so it's only natural that perhaps we'd rate him higher than a talented opposition player.

Most City fans have an affinity towards Balotelli, there's a few who hate him because of his off the field antics but most love him because of it. A controversial legend in the making.

Well done, you've not only alienated, but actively insulted the majority of the world's population!

-- Thu Apr 07, 2011 6:34 pm --

You forgot the important one:

Hernandez: lovely little fella
Balotelli: fucking mental
From your perspective - who do you reckon is better? Balo or Chico?

I think Balotelli is a better footballer. He's more versatile, brings more to the table than Hernandez, has higher potential, and is capable of producing those moments right out of nowhere, that can turn a game.

Hernandez, on the other hand, is an out and out striker. His game is all about being in the right place at the right time, and getting the ball in the back of the net. His movement and finishing are superb - he's genuinely one of the best in the world in those respects - he's just a natural goalscorer, everything is instinctive.

So yea, Balotelli edges it for me, due to the fact that he can turn into one of the best players in the world...but I'd still have Hernandez, every day of the week.

Really ??..

Balotelli often drifts in from the left whereas Hernandez is just a pure striker like Viva Rivaldo said. I think if he played up top on his own a bit more he'd score more goals, but saying that you never know.

I do think Balotelli is a better footballer though, and hasn't yet reached his peak, but I think Hernandez will reach his peak because of the way Fergie coaches, rather than just pure talent. He is a good player though, Hernandez, it pains me to say.

He is good, but not against organised defences ie top teams,I posted a list earlier of his prem goals this season..not very inspiring tbh.

Balotelli's 6 league goals came against Villa (3), West Brom (2) and Fulham...

Are Spain a top team? For 'Spain', read Argentina, Holland, France, Marseille, Valencia etc.
Oh im sorry...for a minute i thought we were talking about the prem...

West ham, wolves, wigan, stoke,Blackpool etc..1 against liverpool when 3-0 down and out..
He was taken off last night against Chelsea after doing fook all in a match that you bossed...or did i dream it...

God, it annoys me that they pick and choose bits and pieces of posts on here to show on their forum that makes us look like retards.

"So Balotelli is better than Hernandez because Inter won the treble, lololololol"

Fucking sad twats. No, Balotelli is better than Hernandez because he's a better player, he has a better goals to games ratio and without a doubt, he is going to be one of the best players in the world.

Id love to know the average age of that forum, id wager a hefty amount it wouldnt reach 20.

I'd wager a hefty ammount that the majority of their forum are from London, Seoul, Tokyo, Shanghai and New Delhi.

Anderson is clearly better than Silva given hes won the champions league and Silva hasnt.

Let's use that train of thought then... oh wait, Silva's won a World Cup

Ah sorry, I didn't realise that because Spain weren't in the Premier League, it somehow makes them a shite team.

As someone posted above, the biggest PL team that Balotelli scored against was Villa...who are where in the table?

And comparing who people score goals against as a means of determining how good they are is mental. If you can't see that he's a quality striker, then just give up watching football.
