Sadcafe

Differing opinons is all good and well Viva but twats like allforone are just fucking whoppers lol.

Ragcafe is full of fucking tourists that don't ever get nearer to Owe Trafford than their living rooms!

To be fair, the post was a little bit crazy. What has Lescott won compared to Ferdinand? Ferdinand has played in CL for many years, Lescott has performed good in PL but is barely a national team starter or on bench. Lescott is not a poor player, but AT LEAST it's a draw. A month ago people on here called for Lescott's head, now he's suddenly better than Rio Ferdinand?

Balotelli has yet to score anywhere near as many goals as Chicarito. He will be a quality player but Chicarito has been much better for his team.

Alright the Rio v Lescott is a push... other than that, if they could actually fucking read, they'd see I was making sense. I said based on proven ability, not current form and on proven ability, that's a perfectly valid assessment to make.

What is Dzeko's proven ability? Scoring in a lesser league? While Berbatov has been banging them in, in our league?

What amazes me is that some people still seem to be surprised by the fact that rival fans have differing opinions.

What amazes me is that some people still seem to be surprised by the fact that arguments can go both ways.

BM is a funny place sometimes ;)

Van der Sar v Joe Hart = VDS

Rafael v Richards = Richards
Kompany v Vidic = Draw
Rio v Lescott = Rio (half this board wanted him sold 3 months ago so im not convinced you can claim a draw)
Evra v Kolarov = Evra

Fletcher v de Jong = de Jong
Scholes v Yaya = Scholes
Valencia v Milner = Valencia (might say milner not wide player but he spends nearly all of his time there and both working type players)
Nani v Johnson = Nani (the teams tricky wingers and its not really close)
Silva v Anderson = Silva (they dont really have an attacking mid but this is closest thing, again not even close)

Rooney v Tevez = Draw
Chicharito v Balotelli = Balotelli
Berbatov v Dzeko = Berbatov

This is fairer in my opinion since it matches players who actually play a similar position.
Balotelli gets in over hernandez since hes a better footballer, not sure hes a better striker so i had to use same conditions for berbatov vs Dzeko who might be a better striker when he gets going but in terms of technique etc Berbatov is better. You could do it other way round though and go for Hernandez and Dzeko.

It's the same with Richards (who was HATED here months ago). He's a great player but Rafael is one of the most promising right backs in the world.

Balotelli

Club
Internazionale
Serie A (3): 2007–08, 2008–09, 2009–10
Coppa Italia (1): 2009–10
Supercoppa Italiana (1): 2008
UEFA Champions League (1): 2009–10

So how many european league titles has Hernandez won? CL? FA cups?

But Hernandez is only 22 and Balo is..............................

Balo 10 goals in 18 0.555 goals a game
Hernandez 17 in 35 0.486 goals a game

You forgot Giggs and Carrick. Giggs vs Silva would be a closer fight (though I still rate Silva above Giggs, love him). Carrick would go up against Barry, which I guess can be a draw, haven't really seen much of Carrick lately.

I'm not even sure why we even start comparing squad players, the starting eleven is the one you win matches with (though depth is good).

On top of the above:

Balotelli: 18 Appearances - 10 Goals - Ratio: 0.56 Goals per game
Hernandez: 35 Appearances - 17 Goals - Ratio: 0.48 Goals per game

Both in their first season.
