Balotelli has yet to score anywhere near as many goals as Chicarito. He will be a quality player but Chicarito has been much better for his team.
Balotelli

Club
Internazionale
Serie A (3): 2007–08, 2008–09, 2009–10
Coppa Italia (1): 2009–10
Supercoppa Italiana (1): 2008
UEFA Champions League (1): 2009–10

So how many european league titles has Hernandez won? CL? FA cups?

But Hernandez is only 22 and Balo is..............................

I love Mario, but Fernandez has scored 11 league goals in 10 starts (though also many subs). Mario never started over 15 league matches when he played for Inter. He started two matches when they won CL.

They are pretty different players though, I'd never trade Balotelli for Hernandez, Mario will be a world beater. But if someone asked me who I'd expect to perform better in the derby next week, I'd say Hernandez, because he always seem to poach one in these days.

On top of the above:

Balotelli: 18 Appearances - 10 Goals - Ratio: 0.56 Goals per game
Hernandez: 35 Appearances - 17 Goals - Ratio: 0.48 Goals per game

Both in their first season.

According to the sites I've checked, Balotelli scored 9 goals (2 in Europa, 1 in FA, 6 in league), which lowers his ratio to Hernandez level. But yeah, I'd say they're equal players and I'm sure Balotelli will be the better one in the future, if he can keep his head cool.

Minutes per goal would be fairer, 35 appearances but I doubt hes started alot of those games

young ballon d'or winner.

Balo 1
Hernandez 0

Anderson 1
Silva/Ronaldo/Iniesta 0

Makes sense to you?

Hernandez couldn't win it anyway since it only is given to European based players.

fucking mental isn't necessarily a bad thing :) Roy Keane was always short of a few marbles tbh

Very true. Balotelli is a flawed genius, with regards to his footballing ability.

My point was though, that Hernandez has gone out of his way to endear himself to every single United fan; so it's only natural that perhaps we'd rate him higher than a talented opposition player.

Most City fans have an affinity towards Balotelli, there's a few who hate him because of his off the field antics but most love him because of it. A controversial legend in the making.
