I must have misinterpreted your post as it seems to me to imply that the rift between FL & CB is ongoing.

The Charlton fallout was because Bobby disrespected his mother at the behest of his wife, rather dissimilar in my book.

Strangely enough, after Simon's comment, spacecadet made a comment... yet you waited until I make a comment about the Charlton's and then pick me up on it!

And the similarities with Bell and Lee and the Charltons is the fact there has been a fall-out... the reasons for it are obviously not going to be the same!

But thanks, nevertheless, for telling me that their relative disputes were different. And here was I thinking Bell and Lee had fallen out over a funeral...

Scary.

Spacecadets comment seemed to me to be reflecting on a sad but now passed episode, yours didn't.
You said they are similar but now agree with me that they are different but don't like me pointing it out....

Weird.

Good comment John.

Wasn't Dennis Tueart involved with the Ray Ranson team when they wanted to buy off John Wardle. Wardle sold to Thaksin instead.

You occasionally see King Colin on match days going into the Corporate bit to do a bit of hospitality entertaining. Franny also goes to some matches but I guess their paths never cross.

Tony Coleman is in Australia, what an underated player he was , hard as nails, and obviously Nelly is in everyones thoughts........

im here!

They are talking and I've witnessed them dining together several times. I know Franny and his family and despite their differences in the past Franny says they are on good terms again now.

er colin is still bitter that he was treated like crap by the club while franny sunned himself in barbados - franny's jealousy of colin was behind it - colin has the stand named after him - colin is the king!

As I understand it, there was bad blood between Colin and Franny for several years, but over the passage of time things have been smoothed over.

Regarding Tony Coleman, he was a bit of a scally, a lovable rogue but Big Mal loved him, he was very underrated in the 67/68 championship winning side.

I'm just reading these post and came across my favourite players name "The One & Only TC" (Tony Coleman) it's good to see other people can see what a player he was for MCFC he hardly ever gets a mention when talking about the good old days, he played a big part in the Bell Lee Summerbee Young era. TC (TOP CAT COLEMAN)

Yes Tony was a great player. He probably never got the accolades he deserved, he was very skillful and as hard as they come.

He was a key player of the Champions team.

He was at the ground a few months ago but now still in Oz i think.

Wherever he is he will always be remembered by blues at the time as a key player. One of my favourites.

Didnt really know much about this and to be honest this thread is infiniteley more interesting than the various scapegoat threads kicking about tonight, but I have to say, if the OP is completely accurate, the King is being a bit childish about things.
