The demo shown on SSN for rail seating at Celtic appeared to be each seat was simply locked up for standing so you had a rail in front and a rail behind each standing spectator.
Simply for safe standing, no mention of increased attendance.

which is exactly how it is in grounds such as Werder Bremen - and the capacity increases for every German game compared to European games. So the capacity could be increased, it just seems that Celtic have chosen not to do so (or the police / safety council etc)

I'm still chronicling this stuff myself and hopefully, when I'm in my 80s in 40 years time, I'll still be writing about City and Manchester football. When I first started writing about City in late 80s I didn't think that the modern day would be too taxing to write about in future years, but as time passed by I began to realise that some of the most dramatic events in the club's history were happening then. The Swales Out stuff and everything since then. Thankfully, the fanzines helped by chronicling some of the stories and now, as you say, Bluemoon is also a good primary source. Much of what I believe makes us City's story cannot be gathered from the club's publications/websites - it's the stuff about away games, atmosphere, memories and so on.

The Kippax was magical (yes blue tinted glossy eyed etc etc) but a bit rough in the top corner near the away fans!

Kippax was great like people are saying. The North stand was so loud if was unbelievable it seamed to echo bounce of the bran new concrete

There has been much talk over the years to bring back terraces to fotball. Shall we allow it? The Away fans stand anyway so I don't see why not?

I'd prefer one or the other, and inevitably when seated, the action is always going to draw the crowd to it's feet. I've failed to see what the issue with standing in grounds is? I don't see how 60,000 in the Etihad stood or sat makes a differnce. It's the same number of people, and no chairs to be pushed over.

I recall Arsenal away, naturally standing for the whole game at the Emirates. The ground is that well designed and spacious, with high back chairs, you can stand and lean back on them, totally unaffected by supporters walking infront of you.

Bring it back.

Swings and round abouts, used to love the atmosphere on the Kippax and the feeling of being in the middle of it all when we scored but, if your a short arse like me, you can't see 60% of the game cause of big fuckers in front, so I definitely have a better view now.

Must admit, I'm quite fortunate as I'm on the back row in 109 behind the wheelchair members, so I stand for the whole match.

I used to be in the now Family Stand, where I had to sit down and it just felt wrong.
