Safe Standing: Rail Seating in South Stand

There are people who would like to stay seated in the lower stand! Personally I like to be able to see the players at their proper size not like 22 Lego sized men in the distance thank you. So having standing on all lower levels will be something I will object very strongly to. And as there doesn’t seem to be a group fighting our corner, CM are obviously only working for people who want to stand, I will be writing to the club myself to fight our corner!

I’ve already said earlier that I am happy that you have got standing at last but remember there are at least 50,000 fans.
There's essentially no plan to do this.

The club hasn't decided on the North Stand Expansion yet, but it's likely we'll see rail seating involved there somewhere.

If the demand for the 'standing sections' is so huge we would probably see further sections in SSL3 and any future NSL3. The club won't remove the seats along the sides as they're the ones they can charge the most for.

I personally would like to see NSL1, ESL1 and SSL1 all rail seating and crammed with City fans going crazy, but it's not going to happen. :')

Stupid to reduce capacity. Our average attendance prior to lock down was 54,391
Thanks. I know officially our capacity was just over 55k (in recent years) but I don’t think we’ve ever been able to put around more than 54,600ish tickets on sale. I heard several years ago that the few hundred difference was linked to utilising some corporate seats differently, but I don’t know if that’s the case.

Yes but there are people on here saying let’s have it all the way round on the lower tier. The CM and 1894 having meetings and have the ear of the club. I thought CMs were for all the fans. I am in agreement with what 1894 are trying for when it comes to atmosphere etc. and felt that CMs was going to represent ALL fans. But I hope that the minority don’t get forgotten is all I’m saying. :-)
Think you've jumped the gun a little bit on this EB. Can't say I've seen anyone want it all the way around the 1st tier but if they have, it's (presumably) just the one poster. I couldn't see them doing this anywhere but behind either goal on the 1st tier (initially at least). Maybe and only maybe, it may be expanded to the higher tiers but that would be way in the future.

Match day capacity was 54,780 (allowing for segregation). The number of seats installed was 55,097
