Safe Standing: Rail Seating in South Stand

I'm still interested to see how any changes to entry to the stadium is managed when we can go back as supporters. I for one, share a SC in the SS (Not in my name) and with potential track & trace implementation i'm not even sure if i'm going to be able to use the card. Must be a potential issue for almost every club and it's supporters.

There is many in your boat who share tickets or sell the odd one on via buy and sells. I think if the comments from city are anything to go by from Autumn time there will be IDs check to verify who is in the ground incase they need to contact people who sit near you.

City need to decide what they're doing with the stadium for the longer term. Where the Family Stand goes, where the single, contiguous singing section should be, where the away fans go, how far round the ground they're going to install rail seating, rather than pissing about here and there, shifting odd blocks or 1,000 seats. Just do it.
I suspect that City are testing the water. Those who favour standing tend to be more vocal but not everyone thinks that way.

I don't see any rail seating in the North Stand at this stage. If the North Stand was extended, I can see the Family Stand being moved and the lower tier in the North getting rail seating.

I’m in Colin Bell lower and have received an email that my seat is effected there’s 6 of us who sit together and don’t there up for this we’re no foc’s but no spring chickens either if was permissible I’d like to think the club could hold some form of an open day for those effected . Just so we could have a look how it all works.

First time time I’ve ever heard the opinion that fans spread over 3 tiers creates a better atmosphere than fans in 1 tier.
They're condensed; on top of each other, closer together. When singing starts it gets swept through the crowd almost instantaneously. We, on the other hand, usually have two separate songs going on because the singing fans can be 50m apart. How we accommodate the away fans helps their singing contingent.

I don’t really agree to be honest. Away fans are just as loud at any other ground - The Swamp for example.

Some of you might enjoy it but standing nearly all the time might not suit you all. Some might move or stop going. I'd see how you all feel and contact supporter services to see if you can move as a group together. When my seat in the East stand got "upgraded" (expensive) we were all scattered round the ground. People who had been going with me from Kippax days no longer together.

Just for people like @timoftheoak a number of citymatters members this year and last 2 years also members of 1894. So it gives 1894 another way to speak to club at various levels . 1894 and club were told at exactly same time. Club will give reference to citymatters as when they meet club its an “official” meeting. 1894 meet just as regularly and can be in daily contact by email.

1894 had a zoom call With citymatters members only a few weeks ago and gave CM input before their most recent meeting with club and will do so before their next meeting with the club next week

1894 get on fine with CM and OSC. Sometimes they can do things 1894 cant and vice versa.

Citymatters have had issues with club ie no notice over the advertising boards going in.

fans are all on the same side as we all know it can be difficult to deal with club

Good call mate I’ll have to get us together and see what we do think I’ll give it a go to be honest.

The numbers don't add it if it includes the corners unless they netted off the away fans?

it was dangerous at spurs away, bollock height and no room to get in an out of the seats.
Behave Corky lad that was the last thing you rubbed them against .

Suppose this makes sense and was expected, just hope those who want to keep a normal seat will be offered an alternative with no extra cost. Although it’s not anyone’s list of priorities I would like to see the North Stand given a third tier, also the family stand on Tier 1 moved to the upper tiers, bung in some escalators. The lower tier could be rail seats as well, a kind of ultras section where the tickets would be cheaper but only on the proviso you don’t fuck off with twenty minutes left.
