Safe Standing: Rail Seating in South Stand

Does rail seating increase capacity or are the seat centres of equal distance as the other stands?
I’m Germany most teams have a 1 seat to 2 standing policy during at Budesliga games. Each row has two layers of you get what I mean, so one person can stand where the safe standing seat is and two are slightly below them.

I’m sure that it has been stated that if safe standing is permitted (putting the rail seats in is only preparation) then it will be 1:1 so no increase in capacity.

Yeah, I was just giving an idea of what happens in Germany. Their ticket prices are quite low as well, I doubt most teams in England would fill the 1:2 policy unless there's a drop in ticket prices.

One step at a time. It has taken 21 years of campaigning to get this far.
All eyes will be on these areas in various grounds with various critics gagging to say "I told you so" if something happens.
Once it is shown that fans can behave themselves whilst standing up then clubs can start asking for an increase of numbers in the areas. For now I will gladly settle for what we have been given

20 years of incident free safe standing and we might see 2:1 like the Germans have.

Works well at Spurs. The barrier is around chest height which means you can't be pushed from behind and you can't fall over the seat in front (which often happens where fans are standing in a section that was designed to be sat in).
