Also, the occasional singers around the rest of the ground only join in if a song “spreads” both ways from that end, which only happens in the biggest games. One end would be louder; would spread quicker and would make the rest of the ground join in more.I agree with this totally. I have sat in the South stand for years and there seems a real segregation between the blocks. Often we sing the same song, but out of sync with each other. Hopefully safe standing can change this.
