Saido Berahino

Contract signed. Contract honored. Anything less, maximum penalty allowed. These players want the money, but then also want to pick and choose who they play for? That's fine....but the club has to BUY YOUR CONTRACT FROM THE CLUB YOU ARE AT!

If anything, he should be mad at Levy, who has tried to nickel and dime WBA. If he REALLY wanted Berahino, he would have paid up. What does this say about Levy and Pochettino's relationship? If Poch wanted him and Levy has scrimped on him, what does that tell you about what is going on at Spurs?!

I think he's a good player

All 3 parties have lost in my opinion

Spurs - should have paid the money. They need a striker and if he's worth 20mil then he's worth 25. Spurs are now well short up front

WBA - have a player who doesn't want to be there and, I don't think, will get a better offer

Berahino - at a club he doesn't want to be at and looks like a bit of a d1ck. I'm probably alone here but I have a bit of sympathy for him. He can player at a better level than WBA, Spurs obviously made him a good offer but didn't go through with it

Like I said, they've all lost

West Brom are going to gain nothing from keeping him , he doesn't want to be there and they've already bought a replacement in Rondon if they hadn't they'd have been in a better position and even though it wasn't all upfront £22M would have been a fair price. Shame for the lad I rate him and by the looks of it he's in for a tough season

Berahino is where he is because WBA gave hi his chance and he was happy to accept their contract. WBA are well within their right to demand what he is worth to them as Wolfsburg and Liverpool did with us.

Spuds should not have given the player the indication they really wanted him if they knew that price and weren't prepared to pay it. Levi is as bad as anyone for holding out for the monet so he should know better

Berahino is a dick , there is one thing saying you won't sign another contract as sterling did which he was well within his rights, than to say you won't play again.

Beijing Red was killing it on this subject today on Twitter if anyone fancies a laugh.

Do we even know how the payment was meant to be structured? Because if it was dependent on spurs getting top four then west brom are right to say that it was unlikely they'd ever get that amount.

I don't feel sorry for him. It's only spurs and they weren't willing to pay the money so he may as well calm down.

Sometimes when you're negotiating for a player there comes a tipping point where the balance of power shifts, as it did for us with Raheem Sterling. We wanted him, Liverpool knew we wanted him and they played hardball to the point where City needed to demonstrate to both the player and his agent that we would deal with the shit they were throwing at him and see the deal through. If we had wavered the player would have lost confidence in us before we'd even signed him, as it is, we didn't and he's 'top of the league'.
