Well City offered 15 million for Lescott which most pundits thought was a fair offer and this was rejected by Everton...no problem there. Another offer of 18 million followed which was rejected and it is rumoured that City are prepared to make an over the top offer of 22 million for the player who, in fact, does want to leave Everton. This is good business on Everton's part, you might say, as City are the only team who would ever dream of paying such a high price for Lescott. But NO.... this is still not enough for the self righteous one Saint David who now says he wants 30 million for the player.

Talk about trying to screw the world's richest club for every penny and spouting morality and respect at the same time. Is this the type of behaviour that they taught him in the Vatican....as one has to assume by his sermons emanating from Mount Goodison...that he has spent some time studying there. Perhaps he has threatened Lescott with eternal damnation in the fires of hell if he tries to go against his wishes.

I suggest that the total hypocrite goes straight to the confessional box at his local church this weekend to confess his sins and then sells Lescott to City for a fair price. Then, and only then, will he be able to walk back on the road to righteousness and be welcomed back into the Vatican fold.

He simply is not selling Lescott to Man City. Everton aren't holding out for more money - that was a comment made by Hughes. Everton simply aren't selling the player to your club, and by all accounts, the player himself is happy to stay.

Everton do conduct their business properly, and don't use the media to put pressure on any club to sell them a player, like Man City have done this summer. It's you who is a sanctimonious prat. Actually, you're just an idiot.

Lescott is in a better team and will play in Europe this year. Why should he mess up his chances for next years World Cup just to join a bunch of mercenaries.

Moyes is well within his rights not to sell.

Without some serious investment your club is going absolutely nowhere.Moyes has you punching well above yourselves but it won't last forever and he knows it.The better players all know it.
When SWP left City for a richer club with bigger prospects in similar circumstances we just bit the bullet,dug deep and got on with it.We accepted the inevitable.
