Saints (A) Post Match Thread

A decent game overall, I thought we looked solid and once the goal went in we were comfortable. If they'd equalised, I still don't know whether I trust us to go on and get a winner, and we really need someone with a killer instinct in front of goal, because for whatever reason it's gone out of our game. But it's the sort of game that gives me hope that we are only one or two signings away from clicking into gear, and there's a lot of football left to play. Given this shite about Christmas was announced half way through, it was nice to have the government ruin my weekend and not city.

Gundogan seemed good but it felt he could have made better decisions (small ones) in lot of places..Like releasing the ball quickly at times in counterattack

I think they are still getting used to picking their moments more conservatively. We aren't just playing every high risk ball now because Pep wants a more solid, controlled approach, so the forwards are having to make a decision whether to make a high risk/high reward pass and that thinking time is slowing them down a bit and throwing it off.

I think it will resolve itself as we keep playing like this and they get used to it.

That’s a good win there in a game we would have lost 12 months ago. Stones, Dias and Walker are so solid. We are blunt up front though and desperately need a striker.

Yes we won, but until we stop wasting chances i.e. KDB's and when Bernardo inexplicitly passed it, we won't be challenging for the title.

Spurs and Liverpool would have buried those chances.

Maybe that won't happen until next summer with new striker and forward players.

like everybody very big win and with liverpool giving palace and beating the pressure was on city
looked good first 20 minutes and scored with good move and finish by sterling

city are struggling and should not be the case ? but its seems everybody we face are up for it and willing to fight for every single thing even throw inns. tough away to southampton and they are the form team so we should never moan about a win

clean sheet is the key today and city are looking so much better and solid with Stones and Dias
don't like Cancelo playing at left back ? but he's being asked to do something that he is not so well at but well played for giving it a go and had a good game

KEEP THE FAITH and happy christmas bluemooners

If we keep the ball out of our net as we have been we can make some progress.
Good 3 points but again need to finish off our chances.
