Of course teams can win and be shit...hardly a shocking revelation. We suffered from exactly this type of result in prior seasons with shit teams turning us over with 1 chance.

I don't know, was a tough match and very important win. Felt we got a bit lucky at the back at times, some good defending but also a few moments that just dropped our way. Bit crap up front again.

Scrapped it out which in itself deserves praise, but the football is still a worry for me.

Didn't see the game working and reading this I'm none the wiser for doing so. We seemed to have been either good or shit according to the good people of bluemoon

Brilliant defensive display, piss poor attacking display once more.

I know they’ve been on a good run but we’re giving them too much credit here, they’re a decent side not a great one, United and spurs both beat them comfortably away a win was expected.

We had the chance so at the end to settle it comfortably but they came from southamptons desperation more than our good play after the goal we had maybe 2 good passages of play until the last 5 minutes when they went gung ho.

Dias and stones was once Loren outstanding, I don’t think there’s a better defender on the planet over the last month or so than stones. Walker very good, cancelo had a tricky task but stood up to it very well and Ederson was alert and came when he needed to, I be there the defence are buzzing with that clean sheet.

Kdb should have been hooked off, looked jaded second half. sterling did absolutely nothing again aside from his goal but it’s hard to criticise when he’s scoring. Bernardo was excellent throughout although guilty of two poor decisions not to shoot, he did well upfront but was even better on the right. It took me about 15 minutes to remember mahrez had come on which sums up both his impact and Torres too who was just as anonymous as sterling.

What happened to Foden? He was stripped ready to come on with mahrez then it didn’t happen. His refusal to make subs is getting on my nerves now when we’re crying out for fresh legs.

Take the result, take the solid defensive performance but yet more attacking issues.
Mental that Pep didn’t bring Dinho on, why wouldn’t you want fresh legs in the middle at the end?

Lifted from the beeb......

No side have conceded fewer goals (12) or kept more clean sheets (6) than Manchester City in the Premier League this season.

Happy with the win but when did we become the other team. No control of the game at all, our defense truly bailed us out.

And whats with the last 10 minutes??? We could have scored 3 goals if we put our head into it

I hope this win helps our boys but if this is how we are playing against the SOTONs then I dread how we will play away against the other top 6 teams

And whats with the one sole Sub? Kev needed a rest, get Foden in and rest Kev he would have given us the energy we needed for the last 15 or 20 minutes.

The bossed the midfield and we lost the ball too many times. We need a striker like yesterday!
