Saints (A) Post Match Thread

It was a tight game but we scored one excellent goal, their keeper did a very good save from Gundo and we had at least two more clear cut chances that we messed up. Can’t think of any Southampton chances when they really should have scored. On that basis we thoroughly deserved the win.

I think he's drunk mate.

Did Eddie have a save to make..

Yes at least 2 that I can recall. Different ref they could have had a pen, don't think it was but they've been given.

Pretty easy conclusion in my opinion, at no point did with have control of the game.

Pep is clearly a brilliant but at the same time, deeply flawed manager. His stubbornly leaving quality on the bench when we are struggling or behind - something he does often - does my fucking head in sometimes.
It’s so so bizarre, ever since he went on the rampage about the 5 subs and how it’d destroy the players he’s completely changed his formula for subbing players. FFS, it even wastes time when we are winning and he didn’t make them. Foden stripped, changes his mind, and then although I understand Ake putting his top on as Walker was ok it was still a chance to strengthen the back and get rid of a minute.

Much much better, 3/4 players really out of form, still can't finish but much better tempo about us.

Surprised with the new rules that we didn't concede a pen against Sterling.

YYYYYYEEEEESSSSS a good win in a hard game. Well done John Boy, Kyle Walker, Bernardo and Dias.
You see, THE BOYS IN BLUE DIDN’T GIVE IN, THEY FOUGHT TO THE END!!

Stay safe take care everyone.
Much too positive again, Eccles. Could tell from the capitals at the start it was you!

Amazing the lack of bookings for time wasting against us yet we seem to be singled out for it if we hold onto the ball a little too long
