Yes we won, but until we stop wasting chances i.e. KDB's and when Bernardo inexplicitly passed it, we won't be challenging for the title.

Spurs and Liverpool would have buried those chances.

Maybe that won't happen until next summer with new striker and forward players.

The result outweighed the performance but I`ll take that today.The midfield for most of the match was shocking and I`ve never seen two midfielders from the same team pass the ball backwards as much as Gundo and Rodri.
Ah well its three points at the end of the day.

back 4 looks sorted, thought rodri and gundo played well against an excellent southampton side , we created chances again, but again poor decision on the last pass/shoot.

that was a hard graft game, but i think we looked really comfortable at the back.

im sure i saw phil coming on as a sub,it wasnt until the end i realised he hadnt actually got on lol , old eyes

Exactly. We deserved West brom win too. But unlucky own goal cost us to points. We need to finish chances.

It was a very mature and intelligent performance.

The only real improvement would have been to have been sharper in the final third.

Even the BBC on Final Score are going on about how well we played with it only being our finishing stopping it from being a big score.

Defensively and as a team we defended superbly and battled fantastical until the very end to see out the result.

I agree partially but if Saints were better in front of goal they could of won too.

our defence has been our only saviour so far this season.

what concerns me is peps lack of subs again especially when I thought fodens energy was needed in the last 25 mins.

It was a big win but still a massive drop off from this team for me.

Mate you said at no point did we look like we were in control. Maybe total control is over stepping it but we were in control second half. 1-0 is always a tight game but we Changed tactics and completely nullified their attack second half.
