Salford City - moving to AJ Bell stadium (P9)

I wanted Portsmouth to win (personal reasons), and I watched the whole 2 hours (knowing I could enjoy City later), it wasn't a bad game, but salford deserved their win, well done to them, they do at least play a decent brand of football.

What made me laugh was that the the commentary kept saying that the city of salford would be celebrating this win, in reality the vast majority of salford would know fuck all about it.

Quite a few of my blue mates went regularly before the takeover when they played in orange , Wed night pissing rain 100 speccies so pleased for them and as a Salfordian myself pleased for the city. Played on Moor Lane as a kid and on my last trip back went to a match. Great job on the stadium tbf very picturesque setting in one of Salford's "leafier" districts shall ee say

If they are 3.3 mill in debt how can you say 'if they have the money let them spend it', clearly they don't have the money. Without going into the red they would not have got promoted. Would the banks have lent so much to other clubs run by less well known (Rag) celebrities ?

Do losses count as debt? I don’t think they’re £3.3m in debt, they’ve just earnt £3.3m less than evens. They could still be able to cover that £3.3m, I think it’s only debt when they can’t cover it.

They have made it almost impossible for a Blue to be associated with that club now,it just wouldnt add up.

Nothing wrong with Salford Red Devils at all, it's been their nickname for nearly 100 years. As usual it's the scummy lot from Trafford who tainted the name after pinching it.
