Salford City programme!

Yes the BBC are showing "David Beckham's Night Of Stars" next Saturday rather that a Euro qualifier special or something like that. I have no wish to watch that publicity whore & his family grace our screens. I fully expect the Wayne Rooney testimonial/wankfest will also get the full live treatment by Auntie Beeb.

It's about time that sir Becks is back on tv. Think it's a disgrace he isn't on BBC every week to be honest.

What next in the BBC's 'Manchester United season'?

'An Audience with Phil Jones' where the living legend answers questions from a star-studded celebrity audience and recreates some of the great moments from his career, like his penalty miss in the LC semi against Sunderland?

'Stars in their United eyes' "Tonight Matthew, I'm going to be Michael Carrick"?

'The MU Factor' or 'Trafford's Got Talent' where a group of hopefuls compete to be the next Nick Powell?

'The Red Choir' where Gareth Malone works with fan choirs in different sections of the swamp to see who comes out top in snging stupid nursery rhymes?
How about a remake of Laurel and Hardy featuring Phil Jones and Rughead

Hypocrites. As someone who has played non league it is a piece of piss to be successful if you are chucking £400 to £500 a game at players. At that level most play for the team who pays the most. Grass roots my arse.

Tbh I don't mind Salford City. They didn't ask to be bought out by the 5 rags. The one thing that's poor is that they've changed their kit from orange and black to United's colours. I'd like to see them at the Etihad in round 3, although it would doubtless attract a load of rags to watch them. Much prefer them to the vile fuckwits who conned the council into funding a stadium for them in Moston.

Their manager was at my work yesterday, he's a delivery driver by day. Basically said the documentary was a bit of a pain with them following you about every minute of the day (what do you expect I suppose) and the whole thing is scripted and you're told what to say.

Probably all obvious stuff and not much to it other than he seemed like a top bloke and down to earth.
