Exactly this. Absolutely no need to change shirt colours from orange to red. The only positive thing about them is they stunted FC united as plastic rags were caught between 2 tribute acts.They alienated a lot of Salford blues with their senseless decision to turn them into a mini United and have them playing United kits.
There was nothing to be gained from it but at stroke probably ensured that any local City fans who may have had a soft spot for them, feel like they wouldn’t be welcome.
