They alienated a lot of Salford blues with their senseless decision to turn them into a mini United and have them playing United kits.

There was nothing to be gained from it but at stroke probably ensured that any local City fans who may have had a soft spot for them, feel like they wouldn’t be welcome.
Exactly this. Absolutely no need to change shirt colours from orange to red. The only positive thing about them is they stunted FC united as plastic rags were caught between 2 tribute acts.

This is great news, but let’s be honest here. 77% of fans who supported them from when they wore orange in the first place would be 77 people.

I was reading on the Rag TV outlet, the BBC, that they were going back to orange and people would remember Salford for their orange kit. Nooooo! I won't. I only remember Blackpool in tangerine!

I think this is good. It’s their traditional colours. No idea why they thought being a mini version of United was ever a good idea
