Salty reactions from other fans and the media

Thank you, the point I was trying to make. You have got to the point where you could easily spend that and not come close to FFP, through trophies, sponsorships and sales like the recent Sane one (no doubt followed by a few fringe players).

Exactly. It appears to be as long as you are servicing the massive debt its ok. But who is closer to going under should there be a world financial disaster - Man U. Plus didnt Real and Barca get accused of receiving state financial aid a few years back from the Spanish Government? Suddenly its all forgotten about. The Juve and Barca recent swap deal showed that the valuations and the way the deal was agreed basically give both clubs a £60mill (roughly) FFP boost - again how is that ok?

FFP needs to go but what comes in after, god knows. Maybe a limit on the number of signings? Maybe a wage cap? An Americal model where you can have 3 MVP's? Honestly I wouldnt know where to start as the sport has gotten way to powerful to even try such things.

uefa don't have much left to defend off manchester city other than the so called history clubs rule that they want to add to the champions league, so qualifiers and the top 8 clubs with history of winning the trophy will be added without question ? so FFP will have to change or just disappear

the elite will be meeting behind our backs this week or tomorrow and i can see a vote for a break away league with a new federation and not uefa controlled, utd will be heading the meeting and david gill we be already putting plans in motion and uefa would be finished, the big movers in the tv rights are internet based sites and if the big clubs can sell there own rights to show there games then mark my words it will happen within 2 seasons

uefa are finished and the elite will take there ball home within 2 season ? a european league will be formed and even asked to league there own countries leagues and play games at the weekend ? the plan was for a 2 league setup and knockouts for the top 4 teams in each groups ?

The Times' The Game Podcast has Alyson Rudd talking about it. Just listening now. She's usually very biased towards Liverpool so should be interesting.

So the current belief is that we deliberately abstained from sharing information with CFCB to ensure that the statute of limitations (that had probably already passed) passed. Of course that could be disproven by reading the CAS 1 report, but that's effort.

Yup, as predicted the position is 'City are guilty even when proven innocent'. What an absolute joke these people are, they're happily, defiantly ignorant of the facts.

I think we will get a marquee non-Abu Dhabi sponsor, which will boil an ungodly amount of piss.

Especially if we can win the CL - that has seemingly made a very serious difference in Liverpools commercial appeal.

Remember that half the point of CFG is advertising - that's what Soriano dreamed it up for at Barcelona. Connected global scouting, and commercial deals. You advertise with us and you get coverage in USA, Australia, China, India, South America.

I think we'll unveil an absolute monster sponsorship deal that will cover the whole group, and City will be designated 90% of the money.
I’m surprised Coke/Pepsi have never done a big football sponsorship. Or are sugar foods banned?

As an Everton fan I can say im quite happy you won.

Yes it means you can spend £200 mill again and pull further away from us but to me thats always happened in football. From the first million pound player, to Jack Walker at Blackburn breaking the british transfer record twice. Chelsea inflated the market, then you did and also Liverpool with Andy Carroll to a certain extent

There will always be a small number of richer clubs in football, but the issue is with the likes of Real, Bayern, Utd etc is that before it was a few clubs, now Chelsea, City and PSG have joined and that equals more competition for players and trophies - challenging the domination.

I believe there has to be some financial rules in place to help the sport be competitive but these current rules are a shambles and not the way to go about it.

It appears to be fans of Liverpool and Utd who are most vocal in their upset - think it stems from them hoping that you were going to be docked points next season
Actually I'd argue City's part in market inflation is much smaller than most people realise. Juventus, Real, Barca, Chelsea, United all much bigger influences than City(and some of the biggest complainers about City). City only have 2 players in the Tomkins Times, top 25 PL transfer fees adjusted for inflation. Tomkins is a Liverpool fan, who would have loved to be able to put more City players in that. He did seem to massage the Aguero vs Andy Carroll numbers, if you look closely(mustn't have sat right with him).

https://tomkinstimes.com/transfer-price-index-top-100-premier-league-buys-after-inflation/

21st place Carroll - Jan 2011 £37m (addons?)

9th Aguero - Jul 2011 £35 + £3m addons

How does that make sense? Shouldn't the transfer that came earlier be placed far closer or above Aguero in that list?

That's without mentioning the footyleaks information, that Aguero's fee was over stated in the media. To stop the Atletico fans having a go at the club, for setting the release clause too low on their favourite player.
...the agreed fee was £28.5m and that add-ons of £3m have since been paid for goals and appearances.

It is believed that selling club Atletico Madrid revealed a higher figure in order to quell the unrest among their fans at having to sell a favourite player, and City acquiesced in that.

The only other player he could get in the top 25 was KDB, 2 years after the Bale to Madrid mega transfer, if I remember rightly.

Edit: Actually KDB is 26th place now(was 25th). So currently, City only have 1 player in the most expensive PL 25 transfers of all time, adjusted for inflation.

It’s wonderful self delusion.
Let’s see now....
Their owners have been caught cheating at baseball in the US.
Somebody at their club illegally hacked our database.
To avoid ffp sanction they invented an imaginary stadium.
Their shirt sponsors are convicted money launderers, aiding criminal organisations and terrorists.
Ditto their sleeve sponsors.
Death and destruction follows them around Europe.
Blood of 39 Italians on their hands.
On a lighter note, they hilariously tipped some old Spanish bloke into a fountain... lovable scouse humour.
And yet , we’re the criminals.
Hey ho.

You forgot bricking our coaches after we’d impeccably observed their Hillsborough ceremony.

Bricking and bottling an opposition players bus
Setting fire to two of the most iconic buildings in their own city
