Because I think that someone with little experience hasn't stopped plenty of managers, he knows the game, has spent his whole life in and around it and instantly would command the players respect.
He's young enough to maybe have some new ideas but also to understand how the players are thinking and to have some passion and aggression.
I think of managers like simeone, pochatino (sorry spelling), guardiola even Morinio when he started out and I love their youthful determination and drive. I love how they give no shits on the touch line and I guess that would also be behind the scenes too; not pandering to the players.
We don't have successful experienced managers in England so you simply can't have both.
Southgate is just another FA yes man and the result will be exactly the same as with Hodgson. A damp squid to afraid to push back on the FA when they start with their bollocks.
Right now we don't need a genius tactician, right now we simply need some common sense and straight talking.
Kain on corners, 19 consecutive wins and then putting Rooney in Midfield, stopping and changing the team after each match. I'd kick off if that is city when there's 38 matches let along when we're at a tournament and maybe only have 3 or 4.
Some common sense, some passion and someone with youthful drive.
Just my opinion.
