I stand corrected....thanks. But we lack a manager of the ilk of Ramsey and Robson, we might have to think out the box for our next appointment instead of the FA looking for something we can't produce
Bobby Robson was hounded out of the job because England didn't perform. We scraped out of the group at Mexico 86, lost every game including the Republic of Ireland in 88 and were boring at Italia 90 until 2-1 down to Cameroon.
The Germany semi final gives a false impression of that World Cup.
He was a great man but most were delighted he'd agreed to leave for PSV beforehand.

Big Sam another trophy winning, Champions League manager ....oh hang on .... sorry another English manager.
If it was me I'd do something totally different and appoint an Eddie Jones type with a football coach to try something different. It may fail but it's worth doing something different as changing the manager and players seems to make little impact. We need a plan and a new mentality.
4 years time Big Sam will be sacked like the rest.
