Sam Allardyce

Allardyce is the same as Dyche and Warnock they are where they are because that's their level. Working on a limited budget and keeping club's who's only ambition is staying in the premier league at all costs, or getting promoted to that league. Their football as a result is dull as dishwater, mainly based on defence, spoiling and relying on set pieces to score the few goals they do score.

Allardyce had a chance at three so called big club's with more ambition in Newcastle, West Ham and Everton and didn't exactly set the world slight at any, although Blue Hammer reckons he did a good job at West Ham. I'd love to see one of these managers given an unlimited budget at a top six club just to shut the fuckers up because they would fall flat on their face and limited tactics.

The closest we are seeing to how this would pan out is the paperboy at the rags. He has a squad that's cost almost a billion pounds yet on the whole still plays defensive turgid football relying on the counter attack and to date had won fuck all. This is in spite of getting a lot of dubious decisions, including a penalty after the final whistle and with Ferguson obviously still pulling strings in the background.

Big fat Sam, the sooner him and his ilk fuck off and are replaced by decent managers like Potter at Brighton the better.

They are a dying breed managers like Sam! You look at the younger English managers now don’t think there is an equivalent of Sam warnock! Well can’t thing of one.

Younger English managers will benefit in that they have played and been managed in the modern era by far better managers than the generation before where English football has become far more technical and proficient than the previous days of running through brick walls and enjoying post match chips and beers

Mark Hughes’ 10 consecutive draws for us after spending £150m+ is a good example. It was night and day the difference as soon as Mancio took over.
