Samaras, Jo and Santa Cruz

Samaras has found his level in the SPL - scored a good goal at the weekend too.

Roque is still getting match fit in a team inexplicably playing with zero confidence.

Jo is absolute gash - seen him a few times this season and he's been truly awful.

Samaras, no pace- hence why he scores in Scotland, Jo -lightweight in all senses, all samba and no substance, Santa Cruz- Santa Claus has less fat on him - who said he's match fit. I could outpace him and jump higher. Hughesy must know something we don't , but I can't see what it is. We need a playmaker who can really hold the ball and put it in for Adey' or Tevez to play off rather than expecting them to make the move and finish it. Where's our Kinkladze, Bernabia or (DARE I SAY IT) BELL !
While I'm ranting why play Ireland so deep? He's far more dangerous when he's closing up with the forwards and pushing into the box. Our problem is that we still haven't found the right formation and balance and stayed with it. Rotate - but with like for like players. As for tactics - basic mistakes every week- if we'd stuck on Bullard man for man, it really would have stifled Hull. Hughesy needs to look at formation more closely.

Mpenza on a free was far better value than any of them in the context of what he did.

Nice to see we give someone just back from injury a fair crack of the whip - Crucify him!!!

He's been either injured or "just back from injury" for most of his career bar one good season at Rovers. I've nothing against the guy but why Hughes spent so much time chasing him is beyond me. I hope he does the business when Ade is away in January but I'm not too confident just now.

I'm shocked by Santa Cruz's performances so far. I thought he was a good player at blackburn, possibly the best header of the ball in the league, strong as an ox and with an exceptional first touch. Hopefully we'll see better from him in time.

Eh? Hull had almost no chances all game. I thought we did well stifling their attacks. It's our attack which had all the punch of Pee Wee Herman and Santa Cruz was the least of our duds (excepting Robbie)!

With our crossers, how often is that going to happen?
Thats exactly the problem and Gleghorn pointed it out last night. We play passing football and he is suited to the football Hughes played at Blackburn using Bentley and Warnock to supply him

And Bentley will be here by the time we go to BORO....

At least Santa Cruz has done something at thie level. He has been out for a long time and IMO its too soon to judge him. We may have to wait till ade goes to ACN to see the best from him when he gets to actually start a few games. Its a bit much to ask someone coming back from injury to come on with 10mins left and make an impact, it seems he's often brought on to hold the ball upfront.

Jo looked awful against liverpool on saturday. He was born off side.

Samaras looks good in Scotland but never really proved himself in the EPL.

Not having a go at cruz but he shouldnt be in the squad yet he is so far from being match fit and playing him will get him slaughtered. It does beg the question who will play upfront in January its obvious we will have to buy but who, any ideas
