Same Old Boring Chants/songs

I think what you say is right,especially the rags having more songs i think thats why i created the post originally,i just didnt want to admit it.Surely we can get our heads together and bang out a few new tunes.....how about everyone havin a pop and stickin em on utube we'd soon find out the most popular ones and we could all meet in Mary Ds prematch for rehearsal...??????still gutted my Wayne Bridge song didnt take off,put alot of work into that !

We can all get together in the close season have local heats in beer gardens in different parts of manchester like regional heats then get the final singathon in Mary D's for the Thomas Cook trophy anything for a piss up ....Your City needs you!
 
In Germany for the Schalke game there were loads of new quality songs (The Tevez song was us, those in Jamiesons bar in Cologne will know that)but since coming back over here I have heard nothing. Maybe the guys who came up with these could post them and they could catch on.

I agree with the original post totally.

It's one thing discussing it on a message board, it's another thing getting new songs going at COMS. Unless a large enough group get together and get any new songs going, there isn't a chance of it succeeding

People have tried to get groups going and new songs going, but there's too much apathy on the pitch and on the terraces ATM. The singing section's are too small, the fact that both the singing sections/groups are split by the away fans, the design of COMS, shallow terraces, a high roof and poor acoustics, doesn't help either.

I hate to say this, but until somebody takes this issue on(like Pete Boyle, without the nursey rhymes) it's going to be a long time before we get any new songs being sung at COMS. By that I mean around the stadium and not just in the singing sections.
 
When I was much younger and singing my ed off in the Kippax my fave chant was the old...

Sug to the tune of "Lily the Pink" it could easily be adapted....for example:

I think if your gonna spread the word on songs youve got to do it on youtube. Everyone knows the words to 'The only team from Manchester City City' but no one had the balls to start it in fear that it won't catch on!



Anywho - despite the last song mentioned, I think we should try and use an original melody!
