Sami Nasri

Nasri is quality, not playing to his full potential, but form is temporary class is permanent. I would have Nasri in the side for all the big games.Just watch him in his pomp for Arsenal and then remember why we bought him.

Its exciting to think that he will get better.
lol. He had about 3 decent months in 3 years at Arsenal. He has no vision, no bottle, no creativity. His trademark is passing the ball straight back to where he got it from

He was happy to go off after 30minutes which sums him up as a person.
Ah I wondered why the librarians were booing him. I thought it was because they were upset that he left them. Silly me.

When Cesc was injured, Nasri would slot in his position. It's where he scored his wonder goal against Porto. Wenger played him on the wings to educate him, and to show him a new side to the game. He does that with most of the players he develops (like Henry, Cesc when we still had Vieira, etc).

Cesc was injured for most of this season, which contributed greatly to the rise of Nasri.

There can be no doubting that he was still very effective for Arsenal when Fabregas was fit as well though, he definitely has the ability to make it at City playing alongside king Dave.

Nasri will be a great player for us. You can see the quality. Like we saw with Silva last season before a proper pre season, the quality is there but not properly.

He has had a baptism of fire pretty much with Tevez going off the rails and Mancini forcing some incredible football. I think he has coped well so far and the Spuds game really showed what he can do.

Give him a pre season with everyone like what everyone had before this and he will be great next year like all the lads are this year. Unfortunately this summer is affected by 2 shit tournaments i couldn't care less about. But he will still have "free" time to work with everyone and get the gel flowing.

Oh please. Nasri was useless centrally. He just lacks the creativity and the forward thinking a typical playmaker requires.

I'm not denying his talent. Hes quick, strong and has excellent close control however he's a coward on the pitch and that is how most intelligent Arsenal fans saw him.

He had 3 good months where he was scoring goals but even then he lacked something in his passing.

He's not that type of player you expected thats for sure. Nasri being a playmaker is one of the biggest myths in football. He's a dribbler with a good shot. He could be like Cristiano Ronaldo if he had a bit of bottle.

Depends on how you use him. He wasn't useless when he was taking Porto apart. Remember this?

Wenger was devastated when Nasri betrayed him and left. You should read that interview he did with l'equipe. He was still learning and developing, and Wenger would have made him one of the best in the world.

Not gonna dispute that he's a bottler though. No one can. Still, that can be trained out of a player. Remember how much of a bottler C-Ronaldo was when he first joined United? Or how Adebayor couldn't hit a barndoor, then scored 30 a season? Players grow and players change, some take until their mid or late 20's -- like Drogba or Bergkamp.

whilst I agree with this, moving to City won't necessarily curb his development. Under Mancini, Richards, Milner, and even Silva have all shined. Mancini makes players better, much like Wenger does.

we have to look at last year in particular and realize we can't judge players in the first few months (or even season) at their new club.

Thats on the right. Porto were absolutely shite that day. Even Eboue teared them apart.

Ronaldo was 18 when he joined. Nasri is 24 going onto 25. If he hasn't maned up now when will he?

Not sure about that. Under Wenger, Nasri was playing constantly -- often at the detriment of the club. His good performances were few and far between, and for the price we paid for him (11mil?) we could have gotten more experienced players for the money.

3 years. He made mistakes, played like shit more than he played well. The second he came good, the second all that investment was finally showing results... what happens? He leaves.

You can't really fault Arsenal fans for booing him. He hadn't even begun to pay back what the club put into him. I'm sure most City fans have already forgotten the hard years you all went through, but how would you guys feel if the situation were reversed?
