Samir Nasri interview

We all knew he was a bit of a twat but we loved all the same.
That's exactly why a lot of us loved him. He wasn't a fanny like most of our previous managers. He was the boss and everyone knew it. He took no shit and took the team from 'meh' to Champions.
Bobby stopped the clock. He battered Ferguson. He made sure Manchester was Blue.

Mancini was a twat, but he was OUR twat, and we should all be grateful for kicking City's arse back to the top of the pile.

You are right Dave in your opinion of Mancini and that he was the right manager at the right time to bring us success. I personally loved the bloke but I didn't have to work for him and would have probably had a different view of him if I had .
Whilst coincidentally performing at a very high level........... ;-)

Will always love Mancini, but when it was being reported that Kompany of all people was clashing/having issues with him (I think around the time of the Wigan final...), that was pretty eye opening
I felt the same about Mancini. I liked him, listen he allowed me to have my photo taken with him!! ;-) But the cup final did me, I love Joe Hart as everyone knows but you could tell by Joe's body language that he didn't want to be on that pitch for the final. He knew it was Pantilimon who should have been in goal as did we all. I hadn't heard the rumour about Mancini on the verge of being sacked but I was really annoyed! Hey ho we got the gentle man Mr Pellegrini but Mancini had blotted his copy book with me. (As if my opinion mattered!! :-) )

EDIT: I was at the Points of Blue meeting where a supporter (Eccles man at that) asked about tearing down the banner can't remember the exact question but will never forget the answer:
I will drive the bus over the Mancunian Way to tear down the banner.

For that answer alone I will never dislike him, just not love him like Mr Pellegrini and Pep! :-)

We haven't won an FA Cup with a second string goalie or worse (Bravo), and they have been a big reason we have only got to one in the last 10 years.

When we did get to one we played Watford who played their 2nd 'keeper and he had a howler, as did Wolves with their 2nd 'keeper Ruddy gifting them the semi. Hart was at zero fault in 2013 and made good saves, it is Zabaleta recklessly being sent off which cost us.

Show me a manager that is a universally lovely guy at all times to all players and I’ll show you a manager who is a failure.

Show me a player who sees his career begin to fail after leaving a club and I’ll show you a player who will be more than willing to slag off the manager that got rid of him/made him work hard.

Show me a City fan that grew up when we were so shit it was seen as almost cool to support us who then get used to that feeling of being pretty cool and I’ll show you a City fan that hated Mancini.

Anyway, Nasri…fat, lazy, shithouse of a player. Never been missed. Basically stole a living.

Far be it from me to disagree with a BlueMooner but I don't actually remember saying that Joe was at fault. :-) I just was pointing out that I felt that Joe's body language was indicating that as Pantilimon had played the matches leading up to the final it should have been him in the final. Plus, and I may not be remembering this correctly but I have a vague recollection of Mancini saying that Pantilimon would be playing in the final. I know that everyone around me at Wembley that day was amazed that Joe was playing.
Joe was not at fault and neither was Zaba in my opinion but that is just my opinion. :-)

I know but I saw KDB do something similar, I think at Southampton away, where he was in the wall and the ball was going to hit him in the face and he put his hands up to stop the ball. By the way Kev got away with it so it was OK. But I don't think we should keep going on about that one incident with regards to Samir Nasri. He did far more good in a City shirt than bad.
