Samir Nasri

That is rubbish, his best form for Arsenal came playing as a right winger where he scored quite a few goals.

Nasri is never a central midfielder as he doesn't offer anything defensively and he can't play with his back to goal to play behind the striker. He's a neat and tidy player but not one that hurts a team with his passing.
Uh no, Nasri played his best football as supporting attacking midfielder behind the striker, a penetrative running attacker, which contributed to his two-digit scoring run. Nasri is an intelligent player, he's the type that runs through spaces, not the type that creates spaces.

Ask any Arsenal fan, he played off the right not the middle when he was going through his best patch of form. Your right on his penetrative runs but it was from the right.

He is not a playmaker that dominates games and never has been, at most an attacker that makes runs from the second line.
nasri's best form came as an attacking midfielder behind forwards ask any arsenal fan they will tell you wen fabregas left and he moved into that position they got the best form out of him! fact

Nasri has been poor this season and he needs to step his game up or he will be gone. He links up well with Tevez but for the money we spent on him he should be offering much more to the team
Quality player with the ball at his feet. We need to give him the chance, and believe in him.

At the moment he gets dropped 60 mins in, and is greeted with silence by City fans who can't get the memory of that RVP free-kick out of their heads

Time to move on. Sacrifice a mis-firing striker, andlets start dominating possession again.

I would drop Dzeko.

At the moment we are caught between two stools. Wing play and playing through Silva

Whenever the game doesn't work, we take off SIlva and go to plan b which is raid down the wings and cross for Dzeko

We need to know what we are doing and stick with it. Play through Nasri and Silva. And on to Aguero with maybe Milner arriving late in the box like Lampard and Gerrard do.

Can not continue with what we are doing now as it's not working and the manager is obviously losing faith in the players ability to do what they did last season

Good post Marvin, makes total sense. What I want to know is what happened to last seasons plan B where on 65 mins Yaya would be released forward. Surely we can add that as a plan C. We need options not only teams playing the "parking the bus" but now were facing teams that play the high pressure game like the dippers, dortmund and southampton.

Yep.
Nasri is always looking to pass forwards (rather than sideways like some others). He also is one of our best ball carriers, as well as being able to engineer 1-2s around the box.

When did Fabregas leave and Nasri get slotted into that position to get the best form? Didn't they both leave at the same time save for two games?

That would be a sensational piece of business for city.

Should be offering more even if he came on a free.

Had a very poor season , not alone by any standards as the vast majority of our squad have underperformed but Nasri lets face it has offered very little when he starts or off the bench.

Like a number of our players its clear he doesn't want to be at the club anymore.

Not seen enough from him, he should be scoring at least 5-6 a season and so far, 1 and only 3 assists, it just isn't good enough. His movement was crap yesterday, passed and moved into a position where no player could pass to him, saw him in the box at one point while Dzeko had the ball on the wing, he either doesn't understand his role or he is being told to play that way.
