so we brought him to the USA, played him in a high profile friendly on tv, then performed character assassination... why? It's not like he was a fan favorite and there would have been outrage for selling him. Why would City trash their own player and hurt the chances of him being bought for a premium price ?

If city wanted to leak that info, I hope they would have enough sense to wait until we sold him. No reason to leak it now.
