Samir Nasri

There's a lot more stories about Nasri being a bad guy than there is distinct visible instances.

Beyond kicking Neymar, and the daft turn in the wall for the free kick, I've never seen him do that much wrong.

I'd take him back in the team tomorrow if he could just get fit.

You could spend 50m to replace him and not get a better player and he looks perfect for the pep system, plus he's still in the top 3-4 natural finishers at the club.

He'll probably go, but it shouldn't be appreciation of some very good moments he delivered and some important games he won.

He cant be relied on to do it week in week out though and I expect the club would probably quite like to shift his wages off the books.

Arguably with the squad depth were going to have we don't need to have him at that level week in week out.

Whenever we've flirted with the idea of Nasri as impact sub he's been good.

Gets paid a lot of money to be an impact sub. I think my main issue with him hanging around is the potential roadblock it puts in place for younger players. I just think he had his time, did ok, helped us win some trophies, thanks Samir but time to move on.

Be interesting to know what this was about...

Khaldoon and Nasri having a VERY animated conversation btw. Looked intense and lasted almost 5 minutes. Has to be about that leak...

Even if you leave aside the incidents that raise question marks around him (his lack of fitness last summer, the Drip Doctors nonsense, the stupid incident with the salute, this supposed leak about his arrogance) Why would we keep someone that did press conferences last year saying: “Guardiola wanted me at City, but I chose to play elsewhere?”

We want a squad of world class players, an unbreakable unit, who will fight for the the manager until the last breath of every game. A situation where the best players players may turn down Real, Bayern or Barcelona to play for City & Pep.This has been the plan since 2008, and it’s just starting to reach its peak.

What kind of signal does it send when one player puts himself ahead of the squad, it doesn't work out, then is welcomed back into the team? Doesn’t make sense, I'm afraid.

Nasri was a great player on his day, who scored some crucial goals, and gave us some great performance in big games. But short of a Yaya-style climbdown and a complete change of attitude, he has to go, unfortunately.

Nasri is wearing the number 11 shirt now. Anybody know why that is? And whose having his old number 8 shirt??

11 used to be kolarov, now vacant. Gundogan took 8 when Samir left for Sevilla. He has no squad number on the OS. Seems to be pretty involved in tour media for a player in the shop window. Scratching my head over this. He must have more lives than a cat if he's back in.

Oh yeah forgot about gundogan having when samir left. Why's nasri think he can wear the number 11 shirt if he's not staying? He actually might have a future with us could it be true?
