those were the days, dicking our rivals and winning the league.

Typical English Sunday league attitude, if a player doesn't 'get stuck in' or want to get hurt every game they're not good enough but players who do those things but are terrible footballers are lauded.

Ha. Maybe delicate flowers are all the rage in Didsbury. Talent + commitment are lauded elsewhere.

You can be a delicate touch/flair player and have commitment, heart and balls, just ask David Silva

it's about rags, some people are are too obsessed with hate for them (we're all obsessed, they're just too obsessed). Samir was integral and very important part of all our trophies won in last few years but fuck him, we lost against rags because of him, that's their logic. Samir waster bit of his talent for sure but him, yaya and silva at their prime was a joy to watch.

Completely agree that those 3 on their day were fantastic together, but only 2 of them went on to become City legends, even though all 3 had the talent

he could have done better, I agree. Just don't think he deserves to be judged for that duck only, he was better than that overall.

I remember him going up to Dzeko against spurs when we destroyed them...... he went up to Dzeko and said "wow" on Edin's Curler from the edge of the box. Great player when committed.

So are there any rumours of Nasri being sold? It won't be China as the transfer window closed so we can probably forget getting money for him - would have been a miracle anyway given his performances in the last couple of seasons. Did he burn all bridges in Spain? I assume he does not stand any serious chance of becoming part of City's squad. Will he travel to the U.S. at all?

With the money in the PL it's a real surprise to me that more of our players in greater demand at decent prices. For example I'd have thought that Liverpool, Everton and others would be scrambling to get more creativity into their midfield and would be fighting it out for Nasri. And definitely teams lower down in ambitions ... like us years ago delighted to get Rocastle.
