Feigning ignorance or genuinely uninformed about one of your own players?
Not at all. I think the label on Nasri is fake and made up. Folks have confused their not liking his game, for not liking him.
Even the player himself has publicly acknowledged he has acted a jerk since peaking at Arsenal, been a disappointment since
Again, admitting to having been childish once is actually a sign of growth. That you (and many other City fans to be fair) use this as some stick to point at is bewildering.
Drip doctors & the ongoing FIFA doping investigation? Sex scandal. Gallas calling him out for his unprofessionalism at Euro 2008, his idiocy that led to the FFF ban in his mid 20s. Sabotaged his team's chances under Pellegrini against Barcelona, again with Sevilla under Sampaoli & routinely described as arrogant by City teammates
The cheek on the player though, leaving Arsenal citing a lack of ambition yet he has shown little ambition himself as a professional
Hence why I asked, at City, any period, what history?
So, "sabotaging his team's chances against Barcelona under Pelegrini," seems to be all you have. How did he do this exactly if I may ask?
Really, lots of folks here don't like Nasri's game and never have. And any opportunity or excuse to get rid of him, always appeals to them.
Again, he hasn't done anything at City so suggest the bile he gets. The fact is I was one of those who didn't want us to get him. I wanted Mata instead or Carzola. Both of whom were cheaper and on the trade block when we were busy pining for him.
And once he got here, his style robbed many the wrong way. Can't say I love it myself, but i see the value in it. He moves better than any player without the ball and seldom loses it when he is on it.
However, doesn't push the issue, which is the real reason many here can't stand him. They mistake his temperamental choice of seldom pushing the issue, for lack of effort or application. Nothing could be farther from the truth.
Its just a different style. One that looks so much better when he has thoroughbreds like Sterling, Sane, Walker, Mendy, Jesus and Sanchez running the lines ahead of him.
4 AMs should be Silva, Silva, Debryune, Nasri.
3 DMs should be Yaya, Gundogan, Dihno
5 FW Aguero, Jesus, Sane, Sterling, (Sanchez)
I think we will need him eventually. Right now it looks like excess. But the season is long.
