Sam's Chop House

Not cheap, but very good food.

They have just opened Albert's Chop House now, in what was the Square Albert.

Pub upstairs, restaurant downstairs.

I go there with a fellow Bluemooner every now and again and love it. Three courses plus a bottle of wine comes to about £40 each including service. That can be seen as pricey but the food and service are top notch and the Steak & Kidney Pud is to die for.

the fish and chips are shit hot there as well, like everyone says, its pricey though, and a woman to just turn up and eat there, always packed.

nice though :)

seems a tad pricey, but in perspective, i dont think it is.
you go to frankie and bennies and it will cost just about the safe for pre packaged, pre cooked shit.
at least this is fresh cooking (apart from the 10 day old spud hash, even my dad wont keep it that long!! lol)
it just looks pricey because its the same stuff mum used to make, in reality i would say its about average for good freshly cooked food.

All the chop houses are nice but horrendously overpriced for what is basically pub grub

But as said, not much more than Frankie & Benny's, Nandos, and similar, for pre cooked chain shite.
