I do worry that Nico G will still have limited minutes and only so long that lasts. Bernie going definitely helps with minutes, he’s a freak he never misses games. That said we’d definitely have some serious recruiting to do when he leaves and imagine let’s say we sign Tonali and Anderson they’ll get the most minutes out of the 3.

Tonali, though, is used to tough, ultra defensive games from his time at Milan and even at Newcastle. He knows how to handle pressure and control the midfield. From those midfield options in the news, he just fits our team the best. Pep knows!

He’d be a great signing that’s for sure. Pep always wanted Bruno and Txiki wouldn’t do it, feel like Viana might get him Tonali.

We need an extra body in midfield currently so with Bernardo going in the summer my two picks would be Tonali and Anderson.

Again, why would we weaken our squad to strengthen a rival?
The same Kovacic who allowed Rodri to unlock his offensive qualities and win us the league in 2024?
Them both being injured has done us more harm than anything else these last 18 months.
He is ok IMO. So he doesnt really strengthen them and not sure they are really a rival either. We can replace with better.

Marmoush is on wages here that Newcastle wouldn't be able to get close to and there's pretty much no chance they get a Champions League spot either. He won't be signing for them.
at best we could sell him to Barca if Lewandowski leaves

Kova started 16 league games that season. He didn't allow Rodri to do anything. Rodri has always been great at getting forward and then getting back - Villa and Inter examples.
