Looks like a real rags to riches story doesn’t it?How do the rags post over PSR allowances, owe nearly £400m in outstanding transfer fees but can still spend £200-300m every year?!

A very good question, that you will never, ever hear or read about, anywhere and everywhere! They have diplomatic immunity on and off the pitch,….scum.How do the rags post over PSR allowances, owe nearly £400m in outstanding transfer fees but can still spend £200-300m every year?!
I genuinely thought Tonali was pushing 30. Didn't realise how young he still was.Well there’s only 3 years between them at 24 vs 21 but I take your point about longer term. In terms of DM, I was just considering it in terms of these recent quotes from Rodri and so was looking at it purely from a DM pov. If that’s not the question then yep, makes what I was considering a bit irrelevant, agreed.
City want both. :)Hopefully not. Statistically he’s right at the top for PL defensive midfielder qualities like tackles won, interceptions and pass accuracy. Though he’d likely cost a tad more than Anderson. Both decent though Tonali shades it numbers-wise.
City want both. :)
Might Keep Donna happierTrafford comes in to play for Tonali i would imagine?
Makes sense with how the midfield could look after players leaving. We could easily go into the summer withCity want both. :)

6’s- Rodri/Nico G
8’s- Nico OR
10’s- Cherki/Foden/Reijdners (Cherki and Foden both covering wings as well)
Bernie is somewhat expected to leave, it’s not unimaginable for Rico Lewis and Kovacic to also go. We’ve seen Tijjani isn’t a 8 in this league, I think there’s still a good player there but not what we expected.
Anderson AND Tonali makes perfect sense.
Nico OR will be a monster that’s for sure. With the potential uncertainty around Rodri as well we really need to solidify the midfield for years to come. We’ve done this before, sign top top players and have great competition.Agree with this completely. We HAVE to replace Bernardo and Kovacic with TOP CLASS quality and not just potential?

CB now is incredible - Dias/Josko/Guehi/Khusnaov with Reis coming in one day as well.
Add in the When City come knocking/Pep factor as well as we have the money and Forest and Newcastle own league positions currently. These transfers make a lot of sense.
Can see Wharton going to United/Liverpool.
Agree. We have plenty of cover at LB with Josko when back and Nico OR to rotate with Ait Nouri. CB is solid, RB we just need someone to help as Nunes has made it his own. Like we say the midfield needs adding too but out wide and up top looking good. Then without upsetting certain posters on here again just the potential loss of Trafford.Yeah, in the blink of an eye the defence is set up for years with maybe someone like Read or Fresneda to come in and compete with Nunes. Get Tonali and Anderson in then for years we are set there as well.

We really aren’t far off at all.
How good would that be!!Pep new contract then if these guys arrive?
Completely agree. All the talk out of Saints is they’ve told them they aren’t interested in signing Ramsdale after his loan.Trafford to Newcastle is my bet and that opens up Tonali to us as without champions league next season that Newcastle again will be pushed on PSR etc.

Anderson is definitely coming. I can only see us buying Tonali if Gonzalez leaves too. For any other midfielders, if Lewis leaves as well then we should go for Smit.Losing Bernardo, Rodri and Kova means Anderson and Tonali have to happen, that's non-negotiable. but with Foden being a passenger and Reijnders not delivering yet we're gonna need at least one more. two is the bare minimum, three is what we actually need?
