Sane left out of Germany World Cup Squad

I'd wager every other manager would have taken Sane even if it was just to be an impact sub at the end of the game. Very strange not to take him at all.

Staggering decision by Low, can’t see the justification for it at all.. feel for the lad but selfishly I’m glad that he won’t be injured for the new season ... Even so, can’t for the life of me see the reasoning behind it and so far Low hasn’t come up with one...!

I think the point he is trying to make is, Leroy is the one player you make an exception for.

All well and good be in disciplined, but when your 2 0 down with 30 mins to go, you turn to someone like Leroy
So if thats the case then of course it matters. You still have to be disciplined.Having watched Leroy for his country he`s hardly been ripping up trees for them.I accept that could be down to only something like 500 minutes played, but its up to Leroy to show he`s worth keeping.
The lad is still young and learning but he can up his game to make himself an even more incredible player.See Raz for details. ;)

Based on his City form a crazy decision but if his form for the national has not replicated his City form and he is not used in the same way it would make more sense. Hopefully it will not affect his confidence and make him more determined to make his presence felt over the next few years.

A guy I work with, German Bayern Fan, said Sane has been terrible for the national team, he doesn't get it as he knows he has been sensational for us..

He doesn't replicate his club form for us when playing for Germany. He also doesn't fit the compact system that Low prefers. Plus Reus plays in the same-ish position. madness I know, he'd be one of the first choices for England.
Pretty much what I've seen posted elsewhere. He's like Raz; brilliant for us, but fails to deliver for the national side.

Reading on a forum over here that, apparently, Leroy isn't that well liked by the senior members of the German squad. Whether that's bullshit or not, I don't know.
Basically: the bayern players are salty that he plays for us and not them.

Hope Germany crash and burn (sorry ilkay).

I can't think of many other young players would could come on and turn a game at a world cup, nor many that the expectant crowds were ready to drool over. He was one of the individuals I would have been tuning in to see, and not just as a city fan.

Apologies to Gundy, but I hope the Germans crash and burn at the group stage. Sure, Low has the right to take whomever he thinks give the best chance of success, but surely merit should play some part and if Leroy still can't make the squad after the season he has had, I don't know when he ever would.

Obvisoulsy he's mostly taken his good old boys rather than who should have gone, which if it fails should come back on him mightily to show how he can't adapt as a manager.

Absolutely staggering decision! He's proven himself to be one of the most exciting young talents in world football. Obviously in a way I'm pleased because it'll mean he'll be fresh for next year but I hope it doesn't turn his head making him think he has to play for Bayern in order to get into his national team.

Something we always asked the England manager to do, pick the best team and not the best players.

Do hope it has been done right and Leroy is not too down.

Nothing to do with not playing for Bayern, just yet to be productive. I would imagine he will be involved again straight after with the idea in 2 years time his international form will replicate his club form.
