Leroy is fantastic but still has plenty to learn. That said I think Low has made a mistake and this tournament could ruin his managerial legacy. This German team is short of pace and will struggle against bus-parking sides without more speed on the flanks.
This team plays against bus-parking teams in about every match. Spain does not have the speed either.
Ok let's wait and see. You may be proved correct but I have a gut feeling this may be one tournament too many for Low. I don't think Spain will find it easy either but they have more magicians in midfield (like Silva) who can unlock defences than Germany.
Leroy is star already, just needs to keep on working on certain aspects of his game as you say and we then have a future Balon D'or winner.Could be the making of Leroy.

Absolutely gobsmacked , some are saying Germany's squad is that strong they do not need him , personally i think Low has just gone a long way to costing them any chance of winning the World Cup, Sane would walk into any of the other World Cup finalists squads and is a proven game changer , the silver lining is he will be fresh and hungry for the new season.

Actually you have to come from Swabia to get called up for the German squad. Having played before for Stuttgart, Freiburg or Hoffenheim helps - that are the home matches of Löw where he often watches on the weekend.
But yes, it helps to play for Bayern as they are the spine of the team and play with each other every week. But Hummels, Boateng, Neuer, Rudy and Süle all have been internationals before they came to Bayern. Kimmich has a very good DFB-career before coming to Bayern and played U19, U21 etc. with success before his breakthrough in the national team. And the right fullback spot was their to grab after Lahm left - same with Müller who came in 2010 who only played 90 minutes before he started his first World Cup.
