Personally my number one problem with paying so over the odds for RSC is if we dont pick up our form were heading for a relegation battle. And one of the teams that we could end up batteling it out with is blackburn, so why in the hell would you want to give one of our possible rivals a massive amount of cash which could help them out.

we play 4-2-3-1
because rob, sweep and ireland are great players individually, but lethal in combination
this is what we will build the team around
of all the other players mentioned, only crotch can play alone, and even then it's a waste of time cos he'll just flick the ball on to people who arent there.
RSC is a big, tough hardworking centreforward who is comfortable on the ball, has a cool head, can finish with his head and feet, and most importantly hold the ball up and bring the magic trio into play. oh and hughes knows him inside out, and knows he will bust a gut for him.
18m is quite a lot, he's probably worth 12 normally, but add on another 2-3 cos its january, and 2-3 cos its us and it's about right, unfortunately.
