A hard game at the best of times and they are another team who have hit form. A fixture we normally struggle in so saturday will be a good indication of how far we've come. I'd settle for a point in honesty. C'mon city!!!
I agree Everton will be a stern test on Saturday. However, to say that it is Mancinis first test is rubbish. In a very short space of time he has transformed a disparate bunch of individuals into a TEAM. Can you honestly say that we would have won these games under the previous regime. Especially with the injuries and acn absentees. He is doing a sterling job and I will expect him to do the same with his team against the toffees. Not only did we win comfortably tonight, we did it without really moving out of second gear. Thus preserving the fitness of the team / squad for when we do have to move up another gear or two. Under Hughes we may or may not have won tonight, but you can guarantee the players would have crawled off the pitch absolutely knackered with a niggle or injury here and there and we would most probably have got a point. Its not just about running around like headless chickens.
Great analysis!
Mancini sees himself as lucky. But actually he knows how to win with the least effort.
That's what class is about.
