Let's be honest, Australia have pulled out because they knew there was no point wasting money putting a bid together when the outcome has already been agreed in the back rooms of FIFA.

It's a shame really, if it wasn't for the World Cup 2034 I'd imagine Saudi PIF would slowly start pulling money out of football as the results aren't really paying off.. Attendances are DOWN even after all the money spent. Viewing figures are low.

Now I think they will be forced to double down and ramp up spending every year until they host it. Artifically the Saudi Pro League will probably be pumped up to be spending more than the PL within 3 years, with abysmal attendances.
