Saudi Sovereign fund

I never said either was ok

PIF are taking the piss and some rules about loaning players back would need to come into effect if it happens and is used as a loop hole.

Still I know which 3 fan bases will have tantrums over it the most and all 3 can fuck off.
United buying all the best premier league players from rivals - no problem
Arsenal buying young French players- no problem
Dippers - using other trans scouting database - no problem

Now - they all have a moral outrage

Yes they liked the benefits of globalisation and free market Capitalism when it suited them but when the boot's on the other foot it's not fair.

What I dont understand is the universal backlash to the European Super League, yet you think Newcastle using Saudi clubs to purchase players and then loan them to Newcastle as a means to bypass FFP is 'funny'

Its time for the Premier League and even the government to get involved. The Premier League is one of the great UK products, we cant let Bin Salmon do to it what he did to that poor journo. This guy has no respect for the Premier League and treats it like its joke.

There should be an embargo - you sign for a Saudi club - you get a lifetime ban from association football in the UK. SO if you do go play for Al Shabab Al-Qauda or Al Minti, your not coming back
So, Arsenal can buy any player from anywhere around the world but other foreign clubs (that you choose to condemn for whatever reason) cannot. Convenient. Is Arsenal a bunch of Mother Theresa's and Saints?

On the basis Neves signs for Newcaslte on loan. This is a pisstake to all other 19 clubs who try to comply with FFP.

What was the point of opposing the ESL only to allow the game to be manipulated by some dictator who deserves the Mussolini treatment?

Arsenal can sign anyone in the world, and we would record the signing at book value and it would become part of our FFP commitments. If Newcastle wanted to sign Neves, they should have done so directly from Wolves, not used a proxy in Saudi Arabia.

If Newcastle did this, the rest of the league should boycott matches against them. I cannot even fathom why such a gross act in bad faith should be normalised.

Anyways, its only speculation now, but if Neves does join Newcastle on loan, im expecting a backlash akin to the one that we got with the ESL.

I don't believe this Neves to Newcastle invention. It looks like it's all clickbait for the Mighty $$$$

I'm free to give a shit about the NFL, the Aliens, the Japanese Martial Arts, or whatever I want. I'm free to follow nations and people like I have been following City for over half a century. It's not up to you to dictate to me what things in life I should or shouldn't give a shit about. Jesus.
Wow, a bit touchy. I didn't say you couldn't care, I asked you why you did.

The ESL and players signing for a club owned by a company and then being loaned to another club in the same company is anywhere near the same thing.

Red Bull teams can loan to each other, AUG clubs can loan to each other, so no reason PIF cannot do the same.

Maybe the 3 clubs owned by the yanks who will cry about this should wonder why their owners take money out of the game and don't invest or are behind in this new multi club global set up that has come into play and question themsleves over compliance in stripping the game of funds and lack of sporting integrity.

*An an aside RB are out of order though with changing clubs names and colours when it comes to tge multi club format

Ok. I want all nations of the world to have good leagues, good sports for their kids and youth. Every child, everywhere from the Sahara to Siberia, deserves the right to a good life. I know I sound like a fairytale character but heck that's who I'm.

Didn't you do the same thing to your Australian and MLS team?

Pretty sure its not a coincidence New York play in sky blue

FFP is a protectionist racket imposed by the big clubs to make sure that they are the only ones that will ever be able to buy the best players and to make sure that they stay at the top of the game indefinitely. It's basically a more politically savvy version of the ESL. So in a sense, I don't have a massive problem with any club coming up with creative ways of getting around it and find it quite hilarious to see Arsenal, Man Utd and Liverpool fans being fooled into thinking that they're on the side of fair play when their clubs have spent the last 30 years manipulated every aspect of the game to kill any competition off the pitch before they can threaten them on it. How do you feel about Arsenal's placement in Pot 2 of the Champions League draw, for example? Is that not absolutely embarrassing for your club to get a helping hand like that when you haven't qualified for the competition in years?

We can probably afford to spend £200m this summer and still meet FFP demands. Why should Newcastle not be allowed to spend the same amount? Because clubs like yours are afraid of competition and think they have the divine right to always be the best so have manipulated the rules in their favour, that's why. And just like in the case of FFP, your first response to any competition is to try and change the rules in your favour. Ban players from going to Saudi Arabia. Boycott games against Newcastle (congratulations on your perfect season of 38 3-0 wins, Newcastle). It's never to actually be confident in your own club. I'm not worried about Saudi Arabia, because I know that any player that we wanted whose head was turned by a Saudi offer wouldn't have the mentality to succeed at City anyway.
