United's communications guy has said he doesn't know where the reports are coming from.

Hope?

Probably not. More like the stingy Glazers trying to force him to resign to avoid one of the biggest managerial pay-offs in a while.

They need to break the giddy meter first, then be told he's staying

Just setting off for the match. Obviously I am gutted. I wonder if this devastating news will affect the players. Will it be a minutes silence or a minutes applause for Wee Davey?

That would be funny

Oh please God let that happen :))

Any decisions they make regarding managerial changes have to be announced to the stock exchange first don't they ? As they are partly floated (like a turd) aren't they ?

Funny, all these twitter reports and on SSN, Just in!! Sky sources reckon he could be sacked in the next 24 hours!! No shit.

Has Pat Crerand been interviewed yet? He'd know. Surely.
or Clayton Blackmore?

Or that **** Lou 'chippy' Macari.

Or Mickey 'dodgy fivers' Thomas.

Not forgetting Dwight 'Dad of the Year' Yorke.

This is a very sad day for all true football fans.

Wee Davey has done a tremendous job entertaining us this season, but alas it was seemingly not to be long-term.

I, as I'm sure you all are, am hoping that this is merely a rumour, but I fear the worst.

Gutted about this, there's no way they can appoint anyone that will do quite as badly as Wee Davey. The only hope is that they take a punt on Giggs and he ends up being absolutely shocking. I can't see them taking any chances this time though, they'll go for someone with experience of winning trophies, I reckon it will probably be Van Gaal.
