a bit concerned wee davey could be getting the dreaded "vote of confidence" when they get beat by those greek giants of european football olympiakos , (which obviously means he will be sacked straight after the west ham game on saturday). They will then re-install GPC , he will come riding into the swamp on his tartan charger on derby day , with the ginger pele (scholes) by his side to save the day.

I hate to put a damper on this great campaign but if they get turned over tomorrow night and we spank them next week
then he's gone. He would simply have to go ;-(

I heard Stuart Pearce on Talksport this morning. Sounds like he's backing the #SOD campaign saying utd should stick with Davey & let him spend big in the summer.

Yes well done Stuart. Sound advice from one football genius to another. He stressed that United are in a transition period and that Davey had proved himself as a great manager at Everton. He made it clear that the players had to show some passion. Yes Stu that's the way..get the ball out wide and lump it into the box. It's amazing how many of these football visionaries there are producing soundbites. Next we'll have Danny Mills giving people advice on defending...oh wait a minute.

I notice that bollock-head has now stopped calling him Wee Davey and replaced it with poor Davey. Yes let's all feel sorry for Davey the man who described City as a club with no class and no history and trashed the reputation of Everton as soon as he got out the door.
Whatever happens he must stay in place till next week. I will be there at the swamp for the vigil.

Yes fat Sam...another football genius. Could be a classic at the weekend. West Ham get the ball out wide and lump it into the box for Andy Carroll cleared back upfield to Welbeck...then lumped into the box for Van Persie..headed clear then back upfield by the Hammers...then lumped into the box for Carroll...headed clear by the rags and cleared back upfield to JIz Jaz...who lumps it into the box for Van Persie. Fantastic stuff. Surely Poor Davey will be able to assert his tactical superiority over Sam. It will be one for the purists...a sort of inverted version of total football as pioneered by Ajax in the 70s.

I repeat Davey must stay in place till at least midnight Tuesday then I will re-consider my allegiance to the SOD campaign. That said surely it would make more sense to ensure he stays for the summer then we can witness first-hand a master at work in the transfer market. Julian Draxler for £40m would be just the ticket.

Has this ever been known in footballing history....where another clubs fans campaign for a manager of the opposition to not get the sack?....I'd say it's another record for gollums book.

He will be there until at least the end of the season no matter what happens,they will take stock then.There is nobody out there to replace him at the present,all the top managers are at other clubs.

I don't understand why they appointed him.He was young,Scottish and done a reasonable job at Everton?It was obvious he didn't play the style of football they supposedly like to play,had never won anything and had almost zero experiance in Europe.If they wanted a promising young manager who had done a good job at a smaller club[sorry Everton fans but at the minute you are] and HAD won a trophy and played good football Martinez was their man.
