Odds on BFS's West Ham bending over for united on Saturday for old times sake: more than zero.

Odds on BFS mentioning how much money united's team cost before or after the game: absolute zero

Do hope that the fat gum chewer can revert to type and presenting his rectal area (supine) Even a draw will do.
If scum lose v the greeks and then vs the cocks we could have a night of the long knives ...

Question is will it be Bryan 'Family Man' Riggs or the return of the GPC

Either way not good IMHO..

Shagger comes in and is no way experienced or bright enough to turn the tide

GPC comes in.. they get 'bounce' but still have the whole GPC exit trauma to re-enact (cf Wilf McGuiness- Matt Busby fiasco in the '70's )

I hate to put a damper on this great campaign but if they get turned over tomorrow night and we spank them next week
then he's gone. He would simply have to go ;-(
my worry is, if the lose tomorrow and drop points at the weekend he wont be there when they play us.

He will be there until at least the end of the season no matter what happens, they will take stock then. There is nobody out there to replace him at the present, all the top managers are at other clubs.

I don't understand why they appointed him.He was young,Scottish and done a reasonable job at Everton? It was obvious he didn't play the style of football they supposedly like to play, had never won anything and had almost zero experiance in Europe. If they wanted a promising young manager who had done a good job at a smaller club[sorry Everton fans but at the minute you are] and HAD won a trophy and played good football Martinez was their man.
I expect he'll quite possibly last until the end of the season for the reasons you state and also for financial reasons too. I expect his contract, in spite of its six year length, will be full of break clauses which the club can activate if, say, united don't qualify for the Champions League, which they still mathematically can, however unlikely that eventuality is in reality. Once that actually happens then we may see the club act before the seasons end, depending on how the clause is worded (City had a similar situation with Joe Royle's sacking iirc).

There's little to be gained in sacking him now as this season is irretrievable and as you say who else is available who is capable of turning it round? Taggart's too canny to sully his reputation and Giggs too untried, although I do hear Lou Macari's available.

I love this whole "cut from the same cloth" bollocks just because he's from the Glasgow area and is easily annoyed. It's like saying Stevie Wonder and David Blunkett are cut from the same cloth because they're both blind.

Yup , ridiculous and hilarious in the same quantities ...

OK so let's imagine that wee Davey limps across the season's finishing line...

who is actually available .. and more importantly , self-confident enough, to fill the hole left by purple nose, torn even larger by gollum's abject failure ???

I think #SOD can count on that old but still incredibly talented scooper of balls back from being thought to have crossed the line Mr Roy Carroll. He will know where his loyalties lie and ensure #SOD has an enjoyable evening.

With a......errrrr.......massive rebuilding job to undertake and probably not nearly enough money to do it with.

Top managers like to keep their reputations and will, at least, want to feel they've got a fighting chance of succeeding. Fuck up at a big club and it can be career suicide as Moyes may be about to discover......

Has this ever been known in footballing history....where another clubs fans campaign for a manager of the opposition to not get the sack?....I'd say it's another record for gollums book.

Not quite a campaign, but I remember singing "Fergie in" at the 5-1 in response to the rags singing "Fergie out". They listened to us then (unfortunately). Let's hope they listen to us now.

I hope the candle lit vigil takes place. That will truly be one of footballs greatest moments.

Can any campaig/vigil please take place if we are 3-0 up and not after 6 minutes at 0-0 as these things have a habit of biting us in the arse,as in the ''Fuck off Mourinho!'' chants in the league game.
