"Save Our Louis"

LvG has always been clever writing the right words for his farewell speech. He has done exactly the same thing at his previous clubs. He knew lots of rags wanted him out and couldn't stand the boring way his team played, yet he says the are the best fans ever. Like a pop singer telling the audience they are the best. Every night and wherever he is. It's called fake.
You honestly think he wrote those words?

You honestly think he let someone else write his words???? Louis van Gaal??? People over here in Holland will say that is the best joke ever about the man.
You and I don't know the precise terms of his contract, and nor do we know the terms of his severance package, but I know how united operate and the name at the end might be Van Gaal's, but the words were principally written by the club, of that I am sure.

If you think an anodyne valedictory isn't expressly provided for as part of the terms of a manager's severance package at united then you are as easily hoodwinked as those mugs who follow the rags who believe in "the united way".

If he was such a man of unwavering principle he would have walked out of the club weeks ago, when it was obvious to anyone with three brain cells that he was on his way out. Instead he waited for his pay-off, included in which would be an obligation to provide a statement such as the one released by united yesterday.

As to that being the best joke about the man, I can think of a few more likely candidates, but whatever lights your fire, I guess.

Well, than l have to agree with you won't l. Now that you actually know how United operate.
I guess LvG must have wondered when the words were put in front of him, if it wasn't the exact copy he got at Bayern and Barcelona other than the badge print.

united employ the same MO as Bayern and Barca? Well I never.

I put my trust in the " save our Louis " campaign run by what I thought were genuine caring people, you should hang your heads in shame.

Eversince76, nothing personal but if you believe that then you are deluded. That was the most colluded statement I have ever seen. Utter horseshit. Possibly the most clear indicator of it being a conspired lament is the fact that it was SO far aaway from how Van Gaal projects himself and has done in press conferences where he has generally said it as it is and not as United and their fans want it said e.g. 'Their expectations are too high nowadays as the playing field has been levelled in the last few years' (paraphrased).

That statement was the classic ' we'll give you a decent pay off if you say the right things about us and how great we are despite acting like utter t*^ts'. Acting in a totally arrogant manner but then using marketing spin (the devil's little helpers) and media influence to falsely portray that they have honour and integrity is the real 'United Way'.

Plus, the cup they couldn't be arsed with when the EPL was generally a one horse race and they had all the money, has suddenly become 'The oldest and greatest cup competition ever', something it always was or always wasn't but not something that has changed.

Sir Toutalot was totally against Maureen but his silence has been deafening. Then again, he's just had a stand named after him. Maybe that was his present for backing down?

They will never change and now the most arrogant and unhinged round peg has found his round hole. That said, I believe he will work well for them, hopefully just in the shorter term.

Credit to Jacobs on TS yesterday for calling out that fat sycophant Custis, 'get him off'.

I agree the statement is totally rubbish. It makes LvG the charming man and that lot the great club that never fails to treat their personel well. All this based on the best fans in the land. Maybe the discussion shouldn't have led to who wrote what, but what or who it intended to influence. I was more trying to point out LvG has always been the manager who creates a war versus the media and seeks protection with the fans by stating the bloody obvious. I'm sure when the pony one, the obvious candidate to take over, is succesfull in any way, or any of the young players that made their debut will be succesfull anywhere, LvG will come out to state he created the ground where the succes was born.

As for that lot, I'm happy to see the wheels keep coming off one by one without the ones in command noticing it. Imo the dippers have finally turned the corner and it took them how long?
