No way l fall for the theater play from Van Gaal. He made himself vulnerable by regularly slating the media and acting in an arrogant way like England should kneel for the man to show their appreciation for managing the biggest club on the British isle ( his words in his very first interview). He's done it here. He's done it everywhere. It's exactly how Soriano described that kind of management.
I despise the British media. But they have a case against the man and he knew what would happen if that situation occurred. He knew it when he brought his wife to England. I find it pathetic to include family when you get bad press. As if they need to worry. He's not dying is he? And obviously naming the fans so they pity him hoping they will back him like the Chelsea fans backed Mourinho.
Pretty sure Pellegrini would never ever degrade himself to that kind of actplaying. Then again he's too decent in every way he behaves.

I've just Googled Apollo Gees (yes I know!)
The only thing football related that I could find was his/her contributions to a website called footballpoets.org
When I say contribution, they've provided 63 short poems in a 12 year period.
Obviously more than qualified for a full back page story in a national newspaper.

i initially felt sorry for BOTH TT and Manuel at having to face such questioning from the press....
But having read your post,wow..id forgot just what an arrogant tosser this clown presented himself as ,when he strolled into Salford.All the clever sound bites and clever replies..oh yes we can win the title ..etc etc followed by ..it takes time .filosophy bollocks...then the arrogant,drunkard posturing at the munchen xmas partay telling the world how great he was ,and great they was..there are so many examples of this cliff- head drunken fool show- boating to the globe in his new found position ...now he gets a bit of heat, he cant cope?

Maybe it's just me and I am too similar to LVG to dislike him. Nothing wrong with a bit of swagger. There are plenty on here who try to give that impression and then cry like girls [no offence to girls] when the likes of LVG or Jose give it the big time Charlie routine. I think that LVG is genuinely pissed off about it all and I don't blame him. MP's family is mostly not here and so he doesn't feel it as keenly. Nevertheless, the treatment of both of them is a disgrace. They are both intelligent, hard-working gentlemen who have achieved far greater success in their lives than the jealous and dishonest journos criticising them could ever dream off. Spot on mate. He came to rags as the technical genius, mastermind of football tactics. What does he offer in reality? Hoof it to bogbrush or pass it backwards are his most successful inventions. You can be cocky and arrogant, there is nothing wrong with it, but you set yourself a trap if you don't deliver. Bringing kids and wife into it? Lowest of the lowest. No sympathy from me.

I can just hear him speaking to the players in that tone of voice. It wouldn't surprise me if 50% of that speech hadn't been used already "Do any of you want to offer me an apology...."
