Save Our Peg

I think Peg's close to being axed.
Of course the club will "back" him until one second before he receives the bullet. These declarations of support mean absolutely zero.
6 points off the leaders is not yet a lost cause but drop points against Burnley and/or Watford and the knives will well and truly be out.

I want him there as long as possible. Pep decimating the premier league has driven him to meltdowns of epic proportions and it's just delectable. Every week, He's giving us more comedy. And now that the Amazon documentary has come out and the footballing world were talking about Guardiola's accomplishment in creating the most dominant premier league team ever compared to Mourinho's failure at United, it's gotten to him.

He just keeps on giving!

Yes, it is entertaining
I think we're witnessing the auto-destrucion of his stratospheric ego.
The self-proclaimed special one is going to leave football with a lot of question marks over his real abilities.
Could not get the better of Pep at Real Madrid, got fired by Abramovich and looks worse than Moyes and LVG at Manyoo.
The demented gouger can't take it and his absurd rants to the press are only accelerating his fall from grace.

Perhaps that spell in Madrid messed with him. Self-destruction is an apt description. He started falling out with every member of Madrid, ranging from the hierarchy to the players, and it was unlike anything we had every seen from a manager before.

He left, having won no trophies in his last season there, beaten by Atletico Madrid on home soil in the Spanish cup final and having lost to a Jurgen Klopp Dortmund team in the UCL that was constructed in under a tenth of his budget, and losing la life by 15 points to a Barcelona team without a manager.

He then somehow managed to get Hazard, Diego Costa, Fabregas and co into a relegation battle. And he's now failed 2 consecutive seasons (surely a third on the way) when he was tasked with winning the title and given a boatload to spend.

I might well be castigated for the following but here goes, I think we need a united win against burnley.
I get the feeling lose this as well and he could be sacked immediately which of course would be sad news for the rest of the league

If Woodward refuses to sign players that his manager indicates are necessary for success, is it any wonder that 3 games in, the side is in meltdown? Our Peg has a very nasty personality which exacerbates the mess... but the Peg has been hung out to dry. I'm highly skeptical that Mou will survive till the end of the season and I rather expect that he's out before the Winter transfer window.

Good news though - whomever ManU bring in to replace Mou - it doesn't matter. The squad is a mess and is entirely the fault of Woodward.

I don't think it's entirely the fault of Wayward.

Moyes was chosen by Sir Alex, LVG and Peg were popular choices at all levels of the club and all 3 have been given huge budgets to spend.

He hasn't been hung out to dry. He was given a boatload of funds including enough to shatter the world transfer record for Pogba whom he's had no clue how to use. He was given the German footballer of the year on a platter and had no clue how to use him. He was given an opportunity to steal Alexis Sanchez from us by offering him the highest wage in English football history.

He spent 70m on Lindolf and Bailley and thinks they're not good enough to start a football match. His signings have failed. Why on earth would Woodward trust him with another penny? I know that I wouldn't.

Having said that, they just gave him 73 m to spend this summer, compared to 60 m for Pep. The latter isn't complaining. The former is throwing his toys out of the pram.

Yep we don't want it to get too bad. I'd be happy to see them limp into 5th place.

You shoudn't be castigated for that because it's a perfectly sound argument.

If they fell say 10 points behind the leaders, he'd be fired because finishing outside top 4 becomes a real possibility. I think they would have to defend that because the financial implications become huge.

I think he can do more damage before he goes.
