You're right. It's all about finishing top 4, but they're miles behind spurs and Chelsea and lightyears behind us and Liverpool, the best we can hope for is he clings on to his job until top 4 becomes impossible and they're out of Europe.

The moment top 4 is no longer a realistic finish Mourinho will be ditched, ergo reducing the damage he can do internally to the club. If they're hovering around 15th after a meaningful amount of games have passed he'll be sacked.
The worry is that they get someone competent in and begin to challenge for titles after Jose. The longer he stays and ensures they aren't challenging the better

Realistically, anything less than a win and Peg is toast.

If Peg can't motivate his team of Galactico's to play against a Burnley who played a tough European tie just 3 days earlier then he'll be gone; especially that stare he got from Woodward at the end of the Spuds game.
