Needs to stay to spunk £100m on transfer deadline day for some bloke with a fancy beard and then completely lose the dressing room by October. Trouble is that he will somehow get stuffy wins and so will be up 'there' with the rest of us.

I don't buy the myth that it's the squad.

De Gea is a world class keeper, Valencia and Young serviceable veterans, Bailly is a good CB and Smalling an OK one.

Pogba was previously one of the most promising mids on the planet, Sanchez one of the best players in the league. Lukaku has performed on balance well for them. Matic and Herrera are dependable, Rashford and Martial have shown great potential at times.

It's Jose.

Klopp, Poch, Conte, Sarri even Brendan Rodgers could have got so much more out of that squad.

They picked yesterday's man and he didn't have players with the will of Diego Costa or Lampard or Terry or Hazard to actually do anything.

It could be a combo. It goes hand in hand. Because of the demeanour of the manager and his approach, it's created a negative miasma. He's a bit of a cancer. You can remove him but he's damaged some of the players and wrecked the atmosphere.

Martial hasn't developed nearly as much as most of their fans expected, because Jose has had no clue how to use him.
Pogba (the most expensive player in premier ship history) has been a shell of himself with Jose because the latter has demonstrated that he has no idea how to use him.
Rashford has stalled under him, and some would argue, regressed.
Sanchez, who has been one of the top players in England for the past 5 years, looks like a pub player under him.

You're right in a sense. It is because of Mourinho. But if he goes, I'm not sure players like martial or Sanchez are suddenly going to play at 2 levels higher. He's done his damage.

I think United's squad is terrible bar few player. Mourinho knows this, hence his meltdown. Though Mourinho throwing players under the bus is certainly not helping matters.

We need to make a concerted effort to make sure PEG stays put. They've fucked up big time with their last three appointments, but if they keep switching managers, eventually they'll get one who knows what he's doing. Perhaps get behind them in the Carabao Cup. Altogether now...

"Glory glory Ma......."

Going by past Save Our...campaigns, I think we should leave well alone.

If I take my City hat off, I actually think Mourinho is a class manager. Don't get me wrong, we have the best in the world, by some distance. But Jose's record speaks for itself.

I also fully understand why he's pissed off. Their squad is completely fucked, they have no settled centre back pairing and nobody has a clue who the best two are, it's also bloated. They have an out of form left back who looks broken and two converted, aging, fullbacks who won't be up to it this year. No proper wingers but a decent central (albiet bloated) midfield.

I seriously think to get 81 points from that squad last season was genius. It was boring tedious football but he gets results. They need at least two full backs, a centre back and two wingers at a minimum. They also need to ship about 8 or 9 out.

I think he's seen City last year buy exactly the type of players we needed (full backs, a centre back and a keeper) and he had a moan about the money we spent in those positions. He has just seen Liverpool buy exactly the type of players they were crying out for (keeper, centre back and centre mid).

He's got a completely unbalanced squad, some aging shite, young players he doesn't think are good enough (I don't either) and someone (I assume Woodward) is dropping shit loads in positions they don't need, and not competing with us or Liverpool in positions where they do.

If they had have got Van Dyke, Walker, Mendy, Salah and Sane it'd have cost them £250M.

De Gea

Walker - Bailey - VvD - Mendy

Herrera - Matic - Mata

Salah - Martial - Sane

Would take some beating.

They dropped about 175M on Pogba and Lukaku and God knows how much on Sanchez. If he's making the transfer decisions, it's his fault, I'm assuming by the moaning he's doing he's not. I'll be happy when he leaves, they won't get a better manager and nobody will win much with their squad as it is. It'll cost them about 450M to compete unless they get lucky, I don't think "the richest club in the world" have it, hence the toys being chucked out.

Hopefully he'll walk and the merry go round will continue, either way, it's funny to watch :)

You have your tenses wrong. Swap is with was and you might be right.

Spot on. He's a busted flush nowadays. He was an excellent manager at Porto and when he first rocked up at Chelsea. But his tactics belong in another era. Godawful football.

How many managers do you think would have got 81 points with the squad and injuries they had last year? Agree on the awful football though.

He’s trying to use the same sort of methods he used successfully 15 years ago but football has moved on. In his first spell at Chelsea he was adored by his players but it doesn’t look like that now. Can you imagine an Amazon Prime documentary about them, with a trailer showing him in the dressing room saying to the players “In here, I’ll defend you for my life but out there I’ll tell them the truth and shit on you & every opportunity”.

"If you want to hate me, hate me. That's fine".

Form a queue lads!

They got a dozen clearly offside goals given to them and got away with many leg breakers, our players have been sent off for much less, they have protection no-one else has,you need to watch the games more closely if you don't see that
